Randhir Kapoor to play flamboyant and colourful billionaire

After signing on to play Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father in Vipul Shah's Action Replay, Randhir Kapoor has now been signed on for Sajid Nadiadwala's House Full directed by Sajid Khan. It stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal and Lara Dutta.
While one would've thought that he'd direct another film after Henna (1991), Randhir has been taking on more acting roles.
Always an actor
He explains, "I am an actor and I have always been interested in acting. It's my profession but it's just that now, I am being offered an exciting array of characters. There are a number of films that I have been offered and I am considering them. However I will not grab any film that's offered to me. Only the ones I like, and find interesting. I have known Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala for years and when they offered me the role, I decided to do it.
Meanwhile he says the plans for a RK production starring nephew Ranbir and beti Kareena, are on, "It will be done by the end of this year. That and Rishi's directorial film are on hold but will definitely happen."Bebo is thrilled that her dad is getting back into acting. She says, "Dad is a natural in comedy and I am very happy for him!" She is looking forward to acting with her dad whenever an opportunity arises.

Director Sajid Khan says, "Randhir plays a very important character in our film. He's not playing the role of a dad but that of a flamboyant and colourful billionaire from UK ' something along the lines of Howard Hughes (an American aviator, and one of the wealthiest people in the world) and Richard Branson (an English industrialist, best known for Virgin: a conglomerate of over 360 companies). When he heard the narration, he loved the role and asked when we were going to start shooting. Randhir has a gifted sense of comic timing and I hope I will be able to extract it during the shooting."
House Full goes on floors in the first week of July and will be shot in UK, Italy and Las Vegas.
