Episode 242 (01-02-06 Monday update)

Scene 1

Scene starts with the wedding ceremony of Amar and Pooja and Pooja is in tears (don't know why) and with the yellow thread they show Amar trying to kill Pooja by pressing her neck and all r shouting. (Well Adavan thinking all this). The wedding takes place peacefully without any issues unlike thought by viewers. Maya is tying the third know of pooja' s thali (Nathanar murai)
While trying the knot she tells she is tying this knots for a some purpose – the first knot which her brother tied is as a license to come to pooja 's house whenever needed without restrictions, second know tried is to separate Thamarai and GJ and third know is to separate Selvi fm GJ permanently and finish her off.
Adavan is very happy (background music id so perfect when they show Adavan). Selvi, Yog and Thangam are ready to leave and adavan stops them and asks why they r leaving without having lunch. Thamarai also comes and forces them to eat and go. Selvi tries to give excuse of Malar and kids but Thamarai doesn't listen to her and forces them to go and eat. Kartikeyan is having a sly smile.


Scene 2

Selvi is back home and Niranjan is telling them aren't they ashamed that they went to the wedding and ate there and blessed the couple also. Prabhanjan also starts shouting and asks Yog to answer Niranjan and tells Yog that the day he supported and forgive adavan he lost all his respect for his dad. Selvi is watching all these dramas and is mum. Yog then tells he didn't go for the wedding because of adavan but for GJ as he is our mapillai. Thangam also tells that they went for the wedding for Selvi and mapillai only. Niranjan then tells that this is an excuse, and asks who is that mapillai. He knows that we were in streets due to adavan and still he went ahead and conducted this wedding. So, our enemy is their friend, what a joke? Thangam then tells that GJ is not responsible Pooja loved Amar and Thamarai just took imitative and conducted this wedding. GJ is pavam. Niranjan then tell GJ is not pavam but a criminal. Then Niranjan realizes that Selvi is by him and asks sorry. Niranjan then tells that whoever has friendship our enemy they r our enemy too that's it. Selvi the tells ok, agreed so from now on GJ shouldn't come to this house, that's it right. Selvi promises that from now on GJ will not come here and u all should not expect any help from GJ henceforth. Everyone is silent and Selvi continues saying that without his help we all not live, and that is why all r silent. Selvi asks Thangam how is she buying new clothes all with GJ money only. She asks Prabhanjan that when he was roaming on all streets for job who gave the money for his auto etc, it was GJ only. Selvi then tells Niranjan that anger is not the solution u have to show that u can achieve and gain something in life. Selvi continues that why he is doing so much, is it his responsibility towards my family, still he never shows off saying he did so much for our family. Selvi says our dad is at fault for the enmity with adavan not GJ. Andavan is our enemy due to appa's fault and no GJ's enemy. So, don't blame GJ. She says she doesn't know if he is good or bad but today he is my husband, when everyone was getting me married did anyone see to it if GJ is good or bad all that u saw was is he had money or not so, no one has the right to tell anything and leaves.
Thamarai is making arrangements for first night I guess and talking fruits to her room but Ranjani tells she will take it and when climbing upstairs she feels dizzy and is about to fall and Bala notices this and runs to hold her but at the same time Ranjani's husband comes closer and pushes away Bala and holds Ranjani. After pushing him he asks if he didn't get any hurt. Bala replies no. and Ranjani husband says "How Sad". Ranjani tells since she didn't have anything since morning due to the wedding preparations she became weak and hence this dizziness and for that my husband is shouting at me. Bala then tells since u r pregnant and u r hungry yr husband is angry I guess. If u were normal then it would have been a different story but now u r pregnant and u should take good care if not for u at least for the baby. (Ranjani's husband is not able to hear all Bala's advises to Ranjani). Bala then tells he was so scared when she was about to fall and so henceforth if she needs anything she should tell him and he will take care. Bala continues saying that u have to be really careful during pregnancy like- 3-5 months u have to separate fm yr husband, 5-7 u should be full rest then 7-9 months u should work a lot for a safe delivery. Ranjani is shocked and praises him for his knowledge and caring nature. Ranjani husband then tells it is not only caring but this is a shameful thing too. How come u know so much about women pregnancy, and how many kids do u have? Bala replies he doesn't have any kids? Then Ranjani's husband tells u might have read lot of books on women's' pregnancy to deal with women I guess. He continues taunting saying that so they have any problem between husband and wife and hence no kids , if so should he help them. Bala gets angry and tells till now I am talking friendly but yr husband is going beyond limits. Ranjani tries to stop him and then when Bala comes towards him but Ranjani's husband tells he was talking about taking his wife to gynac etc and nothing else. Ranjani somehow manages to calm Bala down and he leaves. Ranjani asks her husband why did he behave so rudely what is wrong with him. He doesn't reply and Ranjani leaves.

Scene 3

Maya is sitting by the fish tank and Ranjani comes by her and asks what she is thinking about, any old dreams. Maya tells her she is so unlucky that all her dreams are only in dreams but for this Ranjani tells her that she will see to it that her anna will tie thali to her soon.

Episode 248 (01-10-06 Tuesday update)

Scene 1

Thangam is throwing a fit on the missing jewels. Selvi walks in and asks what is the problem and she says all the jewels r missing and she doubts the srilankan girl. Selvi is telling her to shut up. Thangam then tells that what will I tell GJ if he asks about the jewels. Selvi tells it is with him only so need not worry about it.
Thangam tries to tell selvi how needy those jewels r during difficult times and now she is going to delivery so they might need money. But selvi doesn't listen to her and tells all the jewels r in right place only and when we need money, we will manage. Thangam is talking to herself about how costly gold is today and how much it was worth. At that time,
Ranjani and Maya walks into Selvi house and sees Thangam. Thangam tells them to get lost but Ranjani cooks up nice stories to please her and tell her she has come to meet selvi and give poo and payam to her and bought some gift for her baby too. Thangam tells ok I believe u but why did u bring this oottagam (Maya) with u. Ranjani tells she told she will not come but I only forced her as she has bought something for the baby and forces Thangam to look into the jewelry box. Selvi walks in and tells them to get lost. But Maya tell her that u should first know why I have come here and takes out Selvi's Thali from the box and shows it to Selvi.

Scene 2

Maya then tells Selvi she has come only to give this Thali. Maya tries to explain that whatever enmity u might have but GJ accepting this Thali is not good. Thangam asks how did she get this Thali. Maya tells that is none of yr business, if GJ has done this to selvi by accepting her Thali back, what kind of a person is he? So, if I would have married GJ I also would have faced the same problem. Selvi then tells whatever is happening is only between me, and GJ and it is my family issue and u have no right to interfere. Selvi looks at Ranjani and Ranjani tells anni I didn't give the Thali to her probably Anna only gave and Selvi shouts back at her saying u want me to believe that Anna went and gave her my Thali, why r u lying so much. Selvi then tells that only 2 people has the right to tell her to remove the Thali one is GJ and other Thamarai. She says if Thamarai asks her to remove she will remove it for her friendship as she wants her friendship. She then shout at Maya and tell her to walk out. Maya tells that she will not take this insult lightly as she will see to it that she will remove Selvi's Thali. Then they walk out and Thangam curses them.

GJ's brother is painting and Thamarai is praising his painting. Thamarai asks when did he start painting. He tells he stated when Thamarai was sick. He then tells that Anni only encouraged me and told that she will keep exhibition of my paintings. Thamarai is surprised to hear anni word and asks him who else is anni for u. He tells selvi anni, and Thamarai asks when did selvi become yr anni. He tells she was akka only but once she got married I stated calling her anni. Thamarai then explains that how will she become yr anni still, don't talk something stupid. Then Ranjani's husband gives some explanation to cover it up (sorry didn't hear that) but Thamarai was satisfied by his explanation and tell him to continue his painting and leaves. Then Ranjani's husband tells him can he use his brain before talking, as now this would have created an earthquake in this house.

Scene 3

A girl name Neyathi is taking Priyan to meet with the surgeon for plastic surgery in London. Neyathi then talks to the dr if Priyan can get the original face back but the dr tells no that is not possible. Neyathi tells the dr she will bear the exp and to proceed with the operation. Priyan thanks her and neyathi tells that he has helped them in SriLanka so this is nothing at all.
Andavan comes to thamarai's house and is welcomed by Thamarai and GJ. Thamarai asks about adavan 's wife but he tells that she is always busy in the kitchen and sometimes I think I should marry second for taking someone with me for outside work but my mind doesn't agree with it and looks at GJ with a sly smile. Then Thamarai goes in to get coffee and GJ tells adavan to stop talking about this 2 wives thing. Adavan then tells what two as if he didn't understand and then Thamarai brings one coffee and Andavan tells why not two again? GJ is all worried now. Then Amar comes in and greets his dad with folded hands and adavan tells why u r standing with folded hands having only one wife , people around her are standing straight after marrying twice.

wednesday episode. 11.01.06

Hello everybody. I'm back again with the Wednesday update. We start where we left off on Tuesday – Andavan visiting tams. Tam has offered coffee and Andavan sipping it says you could have brought two. GJ feels uncomfortable, as he thinks every time the number two is mentioned it is a blatant reference to his two marriages! Yoyo walks in and stands 'kai kattied' in front of his father. His father asks after him and questions him as to why he is standing like this after just one marriage – avan avan rendu kalyanam panninduttu bandhava nikkuraan. Pooja feels uncomfortable and looks at GJ. GJ tell Andavan that he needs to talk to him, privately about business. And takes him to another part of the house. He tells Andavan to stop speaking about his two marriages. Andavan gives him a wicked grin and says that he loves to look at GJ when the number two is mentioned. He says you look good when you are afraid. Was this the only thing he wanted to talk about? GJ says no he wanted to talk about Niranjan. He requests Andavan to ask the Sri Lankan police to drop the case. Andavan goes silent for a while and says Niranjan should have been killed long back. First when he attempted to take the life of Andavan in Sri Lanka, then again when he had gone to give the wedding invite of Amar at Selvi's place where Niranjan attempted to kill him with a huge stone. But he had forgiven him cos he was a known boy. But he will get the terrorist charges dropped provided GJ does what he asks. Gj's life should move in a different direction and that direction would be pointed by Andavan…..

And the TV blared 'chumma nachinu irukku…' I thought that too before I realised that we had broken for ads!

After ads, the scene shifts to Selvi's house. Bubblimas guru (obesity runs in the family) goes to Selvi's house. He enters calling for his anni when Mahi comes downstairs with some clothes in her hand. (Why do people in Chennai leave their front doors open all the time and are never around in the drawing room to know if anybody walks in? it happens in all Tamil serials! It is almost like screaming out loud victim here victim here and begging to be robbed and beaten!) (Mahi after vanishing for a few episodes, has come back in the past two) He asks for Selvi and Mahi says she has gone out and will be back soon. He makes to go, when Mahi asks him to wait and offers him some coffee. He wonders if anyone else is at home and she says no everybody has gone out. Bubblimas agrees and hangs on looking around. He picks up the telephone receiver and looks at it (I wondered why) and puts it back. Then picks up a pencil and starts sketching. Mahi comes back with a cup of coffee and give it to him. He smiles at her and accepts the coffee and takes a sip. And tells her that he is not diabetic or something. Mahi does not understand… and he explains that there is no sugar in the coffee. She takes the coffee back to the kitchen and stands by the wall peeping at Bubblimas. Bubblimas does the same and decides to sketch her peeping from behind the wall. A new love story blossoms!

She finally comes out of the kitchen with the coffee and while he is drinking it, Selvi walks in. she is surprised to see guru, and asks him what brings him there. He says she had told him that she would help with the exhibition of his paintings. She picks up the sketch he has been doing and asks him if he now keeps drawing at every free moment She suggests he talk to tams, and he agree it that it would help if he did, but it would help more if she did the talking! . She agrees and he leaves. She takes a look at his sketch and comments to her sister, that the eyes in the sketch look a lot like Mahi's. Mahi offers to make a cup of coffee for Selvi which she accepts. Mahi walks towards the kitchen and Selvi goes in. Mahi takes a u turn and picks up the sketch and races to the kitchen where she takes a better look at the sketch.

Ads come on and then the scene shifts to a PCO where Niranjan walks in to make a phone call. The lady at the PCO asks him if it is a local or a STD call to which he replies it is an ISD call. The booths are occupied and he is asked to wait. A few minutes later one of the booths gets free and Niranjan makes his call. It is to Priyan in London (velai vetti onnum illai. Veetula paal podi vaanga paisa illai. Ivan kitta London phone panna paisa irukku!) He calls Priyan and tells him that things are not what like he imagined. Selvi is going thro problems, Malar is widowed. Meanwhile a policeman comes in to the booth and Priyan freezes…. And the camera freezes on him…

Episode 253 (01-17-06 Tuesday update)

Scene 1

Thangam is talking to Yog about Niranjan's wedding and telling that she will never allow Niranjan to marry cyelone shirikki. She challenges Yog that her son will not marry cyelone shirriki. Niranjan wakes up and feels it is a bad morning. Sivamani is walking on the railway track trying to commit suicide I guess. Niranjan is having his morning coffee and sees mahi cooking on the stove and notices that her duppatta might catch fire and then tell her to call amma to take care of the kitchen since gas is not there. Sivamani is thinking what Thangam was telling about her marriage to Niranjan and how unhappy Thangam was. Madhu is rushing out, and trips over Niranjan and drops her tiffin box and polambufies and walks out.
Sivamani is hearing train sound and keeps walking.
Selvi gets a call fm some railway station saying do u know Sivamani. Selvi replies 'yes' but what is the matter. That guy just tell her to hurry up and he will tell when she comes to the railway station. Selvi is shocked and worried.

Scene 2

Selvi is at the police station along with all her family members. Selvi is scolding Thangam for being so cruel and not have any value for someone's life. Selvi asks Thangam who told that we r looking some other girl for Niranjan. Thangam replies yes she only told this so what is wrong? She will never agree to get her son married to an orphan and a girl who don't have any money. Selvi gets mad and asks Niranjan if he is willing to marry Sivamani and keep her happy for life. Niranjan replied to selvi that he care for Sivamani and he was just waiting for elders blessing to go ahead with the wedding. Thangam then shouts at Niranjan saying he will never get ashirvadam. Selvi then tells Niranjan that since this girl has helped I and u care for her we don't need blessings as blessings will not take care of us in future only yr confidence in keeping Sivamani happy and leading a normal life will help u in future. Thangam now is really mad and shouts at Selvi and tells her' who is she to get her son married"? Selvi is shocked. Now that idiot Yog opens his mouth. (all along he was watching this drama). Yog tells Thangam that she is also poor only and she has no right to talk about selvi anything as she is living in her money only. He tells Thangam that is something like this would have happened to her daughters then will she keep quite. Thangam gets really mad now. Niranjan then tells that his mom always have done wrong and was cruel and that is why their kids r suffering. Thangam gets wild and tell if I am the problem here now, I am going out of this house. But Niranjan tells since he was the one who came to this house lastly he prefer to go away with Sivamani. Thangam now gets more mad and starts hitting Sivamani (this was ridiculous) and selvi and Yog pulls Sivamani near to them and Yog (this time behaves like a man) and pushes his wife aside and tells Niranjan that this is his order that he marry Sivamani now. Thangam gets mad and goes inside and locks herself.

Scene 3

Now the whole family is in front of God and Selvi tells Niranjan to keep kumkum on Sivamani' s forehead. Niranjan does so and selvi tell Yog to give the thali to Niranjan to tie it around Sivamani' s neck. (Wedding over – simple and inexpensive wedding).
Amar is roaming with a female named haseena and telling her that he will not forget her and pooja is only a name for ration card. Haseena asks Amar if he got carried away by pooja' s money but yo-yo says no never he has some revenge to take and pooja is the ladder that's it. While he was talking, Thamarai id driving by and yo-yo notices this and tells her to run away. Thamarai then reverses her car an stops by yo-yo and asks who this girl is. Amar tells that that was haseena pooja' s friend, but Thamarai says she has never seen her before, but Amar manages and Thamarai gives him some advise about how important wife is. Amar listens carefully.

wednesday update: 18.01.06

Niranjan is finally married to that Sri Lankan girl (he ties all the knots despite his 3 sisters hanging around – Selvi genuinely happy, Mahi unimpressed and Madhu wearing a very sardonic expression)and now go to some thuni kadai to buy clothes. (In the past three episodes Malar is missing – now that Mahi has come back, I suppose it is Malar's turn to go missing! And there is no more pal podi thollai – and there is more money in the house. What with Niranjan making calls to London and now going to buy clothes for himself and his wife!)

They have this lovey-dovey conversation about his choice of sari for her and her choice of clothing for him. Meanwhile Yoyo and Pooja also walk into the shop. Yoyo asks Pooja to pick her own stuff as he will be delayed if he accompanied her and would be late for a appointment with Sudha. Pooja stares at him while Yoyo realises his gaffe and says he meant Sudhakar, whom he and his friends call Sudha. Pooja smiles and says ok hang around and goes. Meanwhile Niranjan and his wife split up and he goes to pick a sari for her and the wife goes to the menswear. Pooja sits next to Niranjan, and they both end up liking the same sari. So Niranjan gives it to Pooja and moves away to see a different sari. Meanwhile four loafers come in and hang around where Pooja is. One of them stretches his hand across Pooja for a sari and Pooja yells at him. Another one in the meanwhile hangs around to take a picture of Pooja in his camera phone. Pooja notices this and picks up a fight. Niranjan turns around and slaps the guy and sends them all out of the shop. Pooja thanks him and moves away. Meanwhile upstairs, Yoyo notices the wife in the men's section seeking the help of the shop keeper to pick a shirt (she does not know Niranjan's size) and the salesman points to Yoyo and asks will he be this tall. Wife decides she wants nothing to do with guy and says no problem and starts looking for something else. Yoyo sniggers and moves towards her looking positively odious and behaves obnoxiously. She moves off and races downstairs and tells Niranjan that they should be leaving. Niranjan being perceptive this once, questions her about the rush. Wife discreetly says nothing. Meanwhile Pooja's phone rings and she says she can't hear a thing and walks out of the shop. Niranjan meanwhile spots Yoyo in the shop camera talking on the phone. He goes ballistic and races up the stairs in fury. Wife meanwhile races behind him (stumbling and falling too) to stop him from murdering Yoyo. (Niranjan should be asked to participate in the Asian games. He does so much of running he might actually win us a medal or something!)

Niranjan, like a Rottweiler goes straight for the neck, and Yoyo tries to fight back. He is half Niranjan size and a bad match. Meanwhile all the shopkeepers separate them while Pooja see the fight and races to calm Yoyo. For once Yoyo forgets to put on his act and screams and says you don't know who it is. That is Selvi's brother. I will kill him and continues ranting.

Ads over Niranjan leans against a wall in his house full of remorse! Remorse at having let go of Yoyo and not having killed him. Wife tells him, that she will never go out again with him b'cos one can never say when he will turn wild like he did. Latha walks in and has a sarcastic comment to say to her, asking her to clear out. DIL says you don't know about the fight he picked up at the store. Niranjan turns to his mother, it was Andavans son. And Niranjan regretted that he had not killed him. Latha in her sarcastic fury blurts out that it was b'cos of Andavan that he was out of the jail. Niranjan is stunned and Selvi suddenly appears from no where. (I thought that was GJ's trait, always appearing out of nowhere to listen in to other people's conversation!) Niranjan questions his mother and his mother finds mazhupufying is of no use and is compelled to tell them that she had indeed asked Andavan for help. Selvi blows her top and gives a lecture about how 'tanmanam' has been sold and tells her, why go to Andavan, she would have asked GJ. Latha tells her that he too was there for the same reason. Selvi comments that Andavan is a vyapaari and asks her mother what she had promised him in return. Latha says nothing. Selvi is torn apart, and leaves the room. Niranjan gives his mother a scathing look and leaves as well. Wife also stares at the mother disdainfully and leaves! Latha is haunted by the promise she made Andavan that she would remove Selvi from GJ's life.

The second round of ads over, the scene shifts to Maya's house. Yoyo is hysterical screaming at his father (silly things like naan unga pullaiye illai…just how juvenile can you get!). Andavan is silent, and Amar rants on and on as to why his father got Niranjan out of jail. The hit man tries to explain, but Yoyo will hear nothing of it. All this is witnessed by Pooja (who does not even wonder why all this hatred towards Selvi – she did after all finally accept Selvi as her sister in law!) Maya is on the scene like a wallflower watching this melodrama. Pooja tries to calm Amar, and he screams at her (she does not even wonder about the change in Amar – some wife, some love this is!) and tell her that it is his family problem and not hers! Andavan finally deigns to speak and gives a lecture about Pooja being a member of the household now that she is married to Amar, and no wife would like to see her husband in jail etc etc. and he asks Pooja after this lecture to go in. Amar makes to go too when Andavan halts him with a 'nillu da'…. Amar stops and the camera freezes on his profile…. Till tomorrow then

This Tuesday the episode began with the new Priyan under an alias Dileepan (I wonder how he changed his passport under a new name?) has landed in Chennai and is moving from the airport. He drives straight to a hotel (no baggage – lucky him!) and says in the reception "I'm Dileepan from London. The hotel receptionist does not even make a move to look into a register or something, simply says room 103. Dileepan confidently (as if he has been there a million times, just walks across the lounge and into a room where he sees selvi standing there with a huge bouquet. (How they managed to get into his room is a mystery!) He gazes at her for a while and selvi has this beatific smile plastered on her face. GJ looks from one to another and finally decides to break the silence and he introduces himself. And vazhinjufies I am so happy you are here, we should spend the day together, etc. (I'm sure none of us would say that to a colleague let alone a prospective new partner in business!). Dileepan drops the next bombshell saying he received many applications from some Andava Lingam, Maya etc but he decided to choose them. For he is not sure who they are. He also says people are not what they seem. People dress nicely and conduct themselves well, yet they could be cheaters and criminals. GJ's face falls and he has his thiru-thiru muzhi when Dileepan quips like me. I'm not what I seem. GJ laughs and says you must be joking. Dileepan responds saying that he is serious and this is a serious joke. GJ confides that andavan is related to him but he does his own thing. Selvi interrupts him saying why go into all that.

Dileepan leads them to chairs and he lets slip Selvi's name when he asks her to sit down. GJ looks shocked and says how do you know her name. Dileepan realises his gaffe and says you mentioned it over the phone when you said that you wife is your partner and now you introduced her to me as your wife and so I figured. GJ is a little suspicious wondering if he did mention that over the phone, but Dileepan convinces him. Dileepan tell GJ that is presentation was good, when GJ interrupts him and tells him that all praise should go to selvi who did the project. Selvi continues to smile beatifically. Dileepan wonders if selvi is the reserved kind and why she is so pensive. Selvi tell him that she feels she has met him somewhere, even his voice is familiar but she cant place him. Dileepan says that sometimes it is good not to remember. GJ insists on getting the agreement signed. Selvi interrupts him and says that he should rest cos he may have jet lag. GJ is not happy with that and so asks Dileepan, and Dileepan looks tired and says fine. GJ gets the message and decides not to persue the matter and tells him we shall come tomorrow and go through the formalities and they say good bye and leave. Dileepan continues to sit thoughtfully.

Selvi and GJ in the life of the hotel (surprising cos Dileepan just walks into the room on the ground floor!) and GJ thanks selvi and says he is a little worried. Selvi asks him to think positively when GJ replies that he is confident now that selvi is with him and amends that to in business. He says he is hungry and would like to eat something and so they walk to the restaurant. They chat and laugh over things and who should see them together but our wooden faced Maya. She stands on some stairs and sees them both and immediately plans on something.

The scene shifts to Tams home where she is shown praying. She hears her father in law telling her about the strength of the deity and how selvi put that Murugan's picture there so he would after Tams. She finishes her prayer when the phone rings. Tams takes the call call to find a male voice telling her that he GJ and selvi are in a restaurant and laughing. She asks the guy who he is and tells him not to think like a porukki and slams the phone down. Ranjani walks in, when Tams is on the phone and listens into the conversation. She asks tams who was on the phone. When tams explains to her, she goads her into finding out. She explains that these days you can never be sure who is right and who is wrong. She could always call GJ and find out. All that was missing from Ranjini's head were two horns to portray the devil's advocate that she was doing! Tams flinches and the germ of doubt is sown in her mind, she hesitantly picks up the phone and tentatively dials the number. The camera freezes on Tams doubtful, confused, fearful face. Till tomorrow then.

Episode 259 (01-25-06 Wednesday update)

Scene 1

Ranjani is telling Thamarai to make a phone call to GJ or Selvi and find out where they r and she will know the reality. Thamarai thinks for a while and then dials Selvi's #. Thamarai then tell her that she thought she would come to meet her, but Selvi replies that she as not free as she went with GJ to a hotel for a business meeting. Selvi tells the truth and Thamarai is relieved (I guess she relieved). Actually she feels bad for doubting Selvi and Ranjani's husband asks Thamarai if she was feeling guilty about what she just did. Thamarai is speechless. Ranjani's husband tells just because some mad female tell u something u had a doubt and immediately dialed the #. Thamarai tells she didn't doubt and couldn't utter anything else. Ranjani's husband then tells he can see a confused Thamarai now and asks her what did selvi tell and asks if she told all the truth. He continues saying how hurt selvi would be if she finds out u doubted. He makes Thamarai understand that lot of people will tell many things but what u did what not right at all. Thamarai is very sad and is crying thinking what she did.

Scene 2

Thamarai is standing alone thinking of what she did. Ranjani comes to call her for dinner but Thamarai refuses. Ranjani forces her a lot but Thamarai is upset, meanwhile GJ walks in an Thamarai requests Ranjani to give food to GJ but GJ tells he already had. Thamarai gets upset saying he told he will come home to eat and he plays double game. Thamarai then asks him where was he? GJ then lies saying that he was busy at work since Govind was not there and after that he had to go to meet someone in hotel so he went and ate in the hotel itself. Thamarai then asks again if he went alone and he says yes, he went alone. Thamarai then shouts back at him saying u r lying, selvi already told her all the truth. GJ is shocked and Ranjani also adds her point of view to put oil in the fire. Thamarai tells Ranjani to shut up and GJ shouts back at Thamarai saying I will do whatever I want and will eat whenever I want, and I need not reply to all yr questions and walks away. Thamarai is now really tensed and calls Selvi and asks her to come immediately as she wants to talk to her about GJ. Selvi is surprised but tells she will come.

Scene 3

Selvi arrives at Thamarai's house stepping in hesitantly. She calls out for Thamarai but Ranjani comes out saying "all because of u only" Selvi asks what happened but Ranjani tells I will call anni u ask anni only. GJ walks in and selvi asks him what happened but he is quite also. Then Thamarai comes and tells selvi even if u ask GJ he will not utter a word. Thamarai tells selvi that GJ is not alright, he is deceiving her and she doesn't want to see his face any more. GJ tries to explain to Thamarai but she shuts him up. Thamarai then tells selvi since u r also involved in this matter I want u to solve this issue. Thamarai calls selvi aside and asks did u go to hotel today officially, selvi replies yes, but Thamarai tells GJ is telling something different and cries in front of selvi. She continues saying that someone called and told so many bad things about u and GJ and asks sorry as she got a bad name because of GJ. She apologizes to her and tell her that she know selvi won't deceive her at all as she was the one who bought her life back. Thamarai tells I don't like anyone who lies, and this GJ keeps on lying or all silly things and now I feel how many other things he is hiding. Selvi tells there is nothing to hide. But Thamarai doesn't believe. Selvi explains to Thamarai that this is such a small issue so asks her not to get tensed a tall and asks her to go in and she will talk to GJ. GJ walks near Selvi but selvi walks away.

GJ comes down the stairs with phone in hand and Maya calls him on his mobile. He cuts her off and charges the phone. Maya calls again and this time Lotus picks it up and maya continues, GJ, why did you cut our conversation short? then Thamarai asks who it is and maya says, oh, neenga kooda somethng and this sets Thamarai off. She says why did Maya call and M says she wants to talk to Amar, Lotus tells her to call Amar's cell, M - it is out of reach;
T - then why did you say neenga kooda and so M says, earlier GJ cut our conversation short and Thamarai warns Maya off not to call GJ again and questions GJ who fibs that the earlier call from his manager Govind and Thamarai checks the incoming calls and sees M and so suspects it is Maya but then GJ tells her that it is M for manager. GJ gets upset with Thams that she is doubting him, all with Ranjani watching. Thams warns him that only she can call him GJ and even the other day, Maya fell on him and was talking to him intimately and she does not like it.

Next, Govind comes up with this harebrained idea that the non-existent husband of Selvi should send a gift to Selvi but to tham's address, that will make Thams believe in an out-of-country-husband of Selvi. A courier comes and hands over a big box and Thams is all excited like a kid with Santa. She says, look it is from australia and from a guy named Sai and is he Selvi's husband and Ranju coughs and smiles and asks a fidgeting GJ, did u name him so? and he glares and Thams is unstoppable. she is childlike in her enthusiasm and wants them to go deliver it to Selvi in person. Ranju eggs GJ on and GJ is mad but Thams says, dont be angry that I yelled at you, i am sorry, i will not doubt u again and she asks him to go change into a long kurta, saying he looks like Sachin in his short one. Ranju cannot control her amusement.

In the car, Thams expresses some doubt and says, just a couple of days back, I had my doubts abt selvi's husband and solli vechaapla this gift comes and why should it come to our house and then GJ gives a lame explanation saying, when they were married, Selvi did not have a permanent house and hence must have given their addr and asks her to curtail her enthu.

at selvi's, Thams konjufies one of Malar's babies while Madhu is holding one. Thangam comes and calls selvi saying, GJ and Thams have brought a big box for her, maybe GJ is returning all her jewellery this way and asks her to accept it for Madhu's sake, even if she doesn't care for it. Selvi with the pained look throughout watches and shows confusion when Thams points out the box and from addr and she says, i dont know who this is from. GJ is helpless, tries to give a warning look at Selvi, ignored, and Thams is confused. So, now Thams (looks like she is still suffering from partial memory loss - she doesn't wait for the answer to her previous question nor seem to be bothered by the confused looks of selvi) asks her her husbands name is Sai what? and GJ then tells her that it is from her husband in Australia, Selvi is shocked and Thams concludes that Selvi is so shy that she can't say her husbands full name. Madhu sneers and says, nice GJ, so you have coined it..and is shushed by Thangam.

Thams cant contain herself and offers to open the box herself and in it is the big red gift pack that Dileepan gave GJ-Selvi's baby and Selvi remembers that and is astounded.

hey a quick outline

- selvi & gj get the cell phone contract signed by Dillepan (Priyan)

- Andavar lingam is also aiming for the cell deal, but last nites episode selvi flashes the signed contract in front of him & he feels very defeated

- he takes his son & says that losing the contract is like loosing his slippers, but losing to selvi is what hurts him

- well then the obvious plot to take revenge by hitting selvi & co where it will hurt them the most, i think towards the starting of teh cell company

-parallel story line of maya irritating thamarai, comes to a stop when thamarai puts a stop to maya's act, when one day maya comes and puts her hand on GJ's shoulder(GJ is such a creep i feel something crawling right under my feet, just speaking about him), saying that if maya is going to act the way she does around her house then she should stop coming & only come with her husband henceforth

- everyone is still trying to keep up the charade of keeping selvi's marriage to gj from thamarai

- yesterday when lata(selvi's mom) finds out about the signing the phone company deal, she makes her own cute deal with GJ asking him not to let selvi out in the deal and making her 50% partner etc. Very cute scene, one of the things I love about this scene is watching selvis mom act, she brings so much life to this character

today's selvi starts from where they left off yesterday, with selvi and GJ gloatingover being one up on andavan where the new cell phone company is concerned. andavan looks peeved but tries to samalichufy saying that he actually egged GJ on so he would start the company instead of still working with oils. andavan his adiaal and yoyo leave the house in a huff as against GJ's and Selvi's triumphant smiles.they are seen walking in a lawn which looked more like
a parking lot. yoyo complains that this has happened cos of andavan's foolishness. wanting to get GJ irritated, he had given his secrets away and now selvi and GJ have taken advantage of that. yoyo offers to get it back as dowry thro pooja. maya contributes her two bit worth and says in a rather supercilious manner selvi first ruined my marriage and now she has stepped on to our business as well. (honestly the concrete wall across my house has more expressions than maya!) andavan says that they should not fall at someone's feet, and if at all they had to fall, they should make
sure that there is no floor beneath. andavan says that they have just signed the document but by the time they start the business there will be an earthquake. summa nachnu irukku... ad break

break over, the inspector gets back to the guy who has made the bomb.the chap asks if the money is ready and the inspector in disguise says all that is ready. he has gone there with four men who are hiding but tailing the boss. the inspector says, look i asked a bomb to kill but you are giving me a pattas. the guy says you remember the bomb story on diwali day? i made that. then a stupid cop screams from atop 'saar is all well?" (are the cops really this dumb? no wonder no undercover operation is a success in india) and the guy legs it.
right upto the next break this guy runs and the cops chase him, over scaffolding, stairs, concrete pillars, jump into concrete water tanks etc and finally over power him. and we get our much need break from this
stupidity. but isnt it amazing how the inspector tracks the bomb chap the minute malar goes with one baby and sheds copious tears at the police station?

break over, the scene shifts to selvi's house. GJ sits in a sofa and rombha too much offers him bread pakoda and bhajjis and tell him it is good news that the business has started well. she wants to talk profits and comments this time that selvi should be given 50%. GJ is startled and rombha too much says maybe 40% cos the idea the presentation etc are all selvi's. Gj accepts and tells prabha to quit his job and join them in the new firm. prabha declines when his mother pushes
him trying to entice him with ac office etc. then she pushes madhu to be accepted in the office. madhu sarcastically declines saying she in a different league altogether. then selvi comes in and listens to her mother saying that the ceylon mani can be given the job of the cleaning woman in the new firm, even as latha denies having said anything at all, saying GJ was doing all the offerring having seen the talents and intelligence of the family ( what talents and intelligence except for having a holier than thou behaviour, criminal mind, indisciplined tongues,loads of attitudes, and petty thieving?} GJ very sanctimoniusly says he is only worried about malar ( what happened to malar's other baby?).(Malar stands there looking parithapama, varuthama, helplessa,)he thinks all the others are settled and he is worried about how malar will do ( foundation for the third marriage i guess - chinna veeduikku apparam kutti kuttiya ethana veedo? - he picks his women from the same family so he continues to have just one mother in law i guess.. imagine more lathas! i dont think even GJ can handle that!) latha comments be careful about andavan. dont let him know about this business. but GJ says he knows already. rombha too much feels rombha too much and our heroine selvi says dont worry about him people like him will wipe themselves out by their own deeds.
