Hello again!
Right now, i'm in a great mood. I just finished my theory exams yesterday and there's week before the practical exams start. So, thought of writing something in the midst and ensure that my typing skill is alright (Just kidding!). It's been ages since I wrote something unless you count the very hasty last part of Heavy Heir. Let's see how you all like it..........and one more thing, I missed you all a lot, so hoping to hear from you all!
Growing with Love
Prologue
The house was buzzing with activities. Little Mayank walked around the house aimlessly, curious at the sudden festive flavour in the air. He watched his Dadi moving around busily. Quietly, he went behind her and pulled the corner of her saree. "Dadi, when is Mamma coming back?" he asked.
Maya Dixit picked the little boy up in her arms and smiled, "She'll come back soon, son, with the baby."
Mayank screwed his nose, "How many babies do we need, Dadi? Chacha and Chachi brought Puskar baby only...mmm...ummm...six months back!" he said counting his fingers. Mrs. Dixit smiled affectionately, "Yes Son, but now your Mamma and Papa are bringing a baby girl, a baby sister for you. Won't you love to have a baby sister, just like a doll?"
Mayank considered this solemnly. "Dadi," he asked, "I like Puskar baby a lot. He's so cute! And he knows me so well, always smiles when he sees me. Will the new baby do the same?"
Mrs. Dixit laughed, "Off course, wait till she comes. I'm quite certain that you are going to love her." She put him down and said, "Now go and play for awhile, I'll prepare the house to welcome the baby."
"Dadi, has the baby have a name?" Mayank asked, his eyes round with curiosity.
"Yes, son, her name is going to be Bani. Your Mamma and Papa only decided on it yesterday. Lovely name, isn't it?"
Mayank shrugged and ran upstairs. As he went, he muttered the name several times, Bani..Bani..Bani.....

Naina Dixit rocked her six months old son Puskar and paced up and down the room. "Have you heard son, that a new baby is coming to the house? Now you'll have competition." she murmured. Puskar made baby sounds and got kissed by his mother on his cheeks. "My baby, don't worry if they don't love you. I'll love you sooo much that it'll cover up." Unable to understand the words Puskar again gurgled and pressed his nose on his mothers cheek. "Honestly, the whole house has gone crazy! What's so special about the girl, huh?" she stopped when she heard the honking of the car outside. "There comes the Princess, heh!" she groaned and shut the door noisily. Before the door closed, ensuring the privacy of her room, she was able to hear the exciting noise from downwards.

Pratap Dixit and Maya Dixit's household was a household full of affluence, prosperity and happiness. Pratap inherited a well going business from his father and kept no stones unturned to flourish it to a bigger prospect. Later on, he married a beautiful woman and his wife Maya became a part of his life. Living in the midst of happiness they got a terrible shock when there first child died even before completing a year of her living. They sank into deep mourning after loosing their daughter. They only became normal when their son Vikram was born. When Maya gave birth to a second son, Vinay, both her and her husband couldn't help but feeling a bit disappointed, since they were wishing for a girl. Life went on and both the brothers grew up. Gradually they completed studies, joined business and got married. Vikram & Kiran's first child was a boy, Mayank. Five years later Vinay and Naina had a son, Puskar. Pratap & Maya's dream of having a daughter in the house remained dream, until off course Kiran gave birth to Bani.
Kiran slowly stepped out of the car holding the precious bundle of joy close to herself. Vikram came out and put his arms around her shoulders. Mayank came running and hugged his father's legs, only to be picked up by his father. Held in his father's arms, Mayank peeked curiously at the baby in his mother's arms. The baby indeed looked like a doll, just as Dadi has told. Her fair skin was glowing and her rosy cheeks were partly covered by the towel wrapped around her. Her eyes were shut and the long eyelashes were quivering slightly. Softly he touched the baby's cheek and her eyes flew open. She screwed her nose, frowned as much as a baby could frown and let out a shrill scream. Mayank got scared and hid his face in his father's shoulder. Indeed, Bani Dixit was going to give all of them a tough time!
