whats TRP??

Everyone is like TRP this, TRP that....but im confused whats trp is it the rating of a show?? and were is it always posted and how do we know who is on top??

even i wanaa know it... where can we have a watch at our latest trps??

TRP stands for Television Rating Programme...it helps to indicate the popularity of a serial...This is mostly useful for advertisers because higher the TRP..means more advertisers are willing to sponsor a particular show..which in turn means more Money for the channels...

Theres an electronic gadgets known as people meter..thats fitted in the television sets of some houses this helps the angencies to find out which shows are preferred and are seen by Most of the Audiences ..

Personally i think this is bull Shit, Not Everyone has a Peoples Meter fitted in their TVs So really the TRP is Not Accurate .. and therefore Even a good Show that's watched by many goes off Air ..
