Thanks Rupali for this thread. I too liked the episode today. Also, the quality of the songs has improved after the nightmare L-K stories. As far as the importance of Ram Naam is concerned, I think this is how it goes. If I have made a mistake please correct me, more knowledgeable persons.

Rama is the combination of 2 syllables, Ra + Ma.

In Om Namo Narayanaya mantra if we take away the the akshara 'Ra' then the mantra becomes Na + yanaya which is not auspicious as anything that has a Na in the front becomes a negative.

In Om Nama Shivaya, if u take away the 'Ma' then it become Na + Shivaya and again it becomes inauspicious because it becomes a negative.

The 2 aksharas Rama are the combination of the 'Ra' akshara from Narayana and 'Ma' akshara from Nama Shivaya. Without the 2 aksharas, both the mantras are negated and become inauspicious. Which is why the do akshar ke naam 'Rama' has so much mahima.
