My naani used to sing this song in Tamil:

Rama naamamae kalkandu
Arriyarthorku kaalgondu

meaning: Ram naam is like sugar candy (Khalkandu is Misri or Khaadi Shakkar). For people who don't realize its greatness, like Ravan, then it becomes a huge fat stone (instead of misri) that will get rid of them eventually.

yes, I was lucky to have both sets of grandparents until I became an adult. It is thanks to my nani's stories and songs, when I was a child, that helped me become a Ram/Vishnu Bhakth.
