I do not know how this message will be taken. Let me open with a disclaimer - Am neither a ash fan nor a sonam fan. I like Ash for the dignity she has conducted herself with and Sonam for her spunk.

Having said that - My very close cousin is in Marketing and PR division of L'oreal. Ash did have a small hand in Sonam not going to Cannes. L'oreal was already upset with how Sonam's remarks about the generation gap was presented to Media and they felt Sonam should not have used that term as it created unnecessary bad name to their brand ambassadress. Ash was asked to decide if Sonam can come to Cannes and She said a categorical NO after these events. But..To her credit she also let the final decision to L'oreal, but she said personally she would not want Sonam to attend Cannes after this Gen Gap statement as she felt that the statement will hold good if Sonam does attend Cannes. L'oreal took the call and Sonam was asked not to go and also informed Sonam to give thoughtful statements to press keeping in mind how Media can twist even normal statements.

Please no Bashing. I really do not think Ash or Sonam is at wrong here. Each were correct in their own right.

Now this version of the story sounds more logical and I don't see anyone at fault here if this story is true.

Is Ash forgetting she's in her 30's and Sonam in 20's?😆 So there is generation gap.

Lovanika, i completely agree with you, even though Ash is "old" and there is a generation gap between the two, it (ageing)is seen as something unnatural in our country. The media has never been kind to 30 + actresses and see how this one comment from Sonam was blown out of proportion. What Ash did is understandable. Not Sonam's fault here, I guess shes just a little immature and still doesnt understand how this industry works.

Omg all this time i was thinking its the media who was messing with sonam n ash... and now ash was a part of it god dam 🤬 ... what was so wrng abt generation statment.. this only tells how insecure she is ... 😡 😡 no difference between her and those sick jounous who thought a like.

i still dont get wat does generation gap hv to do with the fairness cream😆😆😆........anyhow this explanation is acceptable....
