hi sheena i need your help ):

well i'm a teenager and my parents are really conservative and stuff and make me go to religion class every sunday and they're really involved in the organization and i've been going since young, all the childhood friends i've made are from there. we're a close-knit bunch basically.
when i was younger, i knew this guy same age as me but he moved away when he was like six and i was upset at that time cos i was best friends with him and we were in the same grade and everything.
fast forward ten years later.
i study in an all-girls school and will have studied in an all-girls environment for 10 yrs as of this year so as you can tell i'm naturally sort of shy around boys. next year, i will be going to a co-ed school for my a levels. my current school is a feeder school for aforementioned co-ed school. along with my school, there is another brother school who also sends students to the co-ed school.
now, the guy from 10 yrs ago returned and he coincidentally got admission into the brother school; we'll be yearmates next year. and he started coming to my religion class. this was in january. and he started talking to me a lot. like we'd talk on msn and sms each other every day and stuff. this continued for like two weeks until he got hospitalised under suspicion of appendicitis. he turned out to be fine and was discharged from the hospital a couple of days earlier.
but then, after that, he COMPLETELY ignored me! i have no idea what happened! i am 100% sure he does not have a gf cos he studies in a boys' school and we have a lot of mutual friends in common so unless he kept his gf a very very very very good secret, i'm sure he doesn't have one. now it's may, and he hasn't talked to me yet. the only time he talked to me was in april to ask me about what happened in the latest episode of gossip girl. and he's also started skipping religion class and he only comes like once or twice every month.
point is i have no idea what is going on! could you please help me decipher his actions?
