Actually, Ektay, your wish is close to what actually happened. Sita's identity was never a mystery, and everyone in the ashram knew who she was, and Shatrughan too knew that he was participating in the ceremony involving Rama's kids.

Nothing is mentioned about whether Shatrughan said anything about it to Rama or not. He couldn't have, after meeting Sita, he left for Madhupuri, and after conquering it, took over as the ruler. Presumably, Shrutakirti joined him. Shatrughan did not meet Rama or anyone else in the family for the next 12 years.
