That's a good topic to be discussed about, though it needs a lot of thought put into it, but if everyone starts contributing their thoughts, it'll be fun and informative.
1) The very first point that strikes me is in any Yuga, it is always important to believe in God and have faith in Him.

Thanks Sam for the discussion topic...

Actually its not about Yugas mainly but we can take it as old culture and new modern culture...

we hardly see old cultures these days like in old cultures whatever customs were there
(1) the way of respect for parents...
(2) the way womens dont take husbands name
(3) the way of marriage of girls ..(it was not necessary for boy n girl to meet each other - the marriage
fixed by parents and couple meet only after marriage) and these days boy n girl serach mate thru matrimonials...

there are lots of changes we are seeing from old to new world
ofcourse we have to act according to modernization
but just wanted to discuss
what we all feel for these changes...
and what changes are gud and with which changes we facing problem ..

I don't think that there is no comparision at all. Because it was mentioned in Valmiki Ramayan.net that in Krut Yug, the conflict is in between God & Demons (Lord Vishnu fighting with Hiranyaksh and Hiranyakaschap)
In treta yug, the conflict is in between a human being and demons (Ram Vs Ravan (with his demon race))
In Dwapar Yug, disputes had arose in betwen brothers. (Pandavas Vs Kauravas)
But in Kalyug, there are many disputes and conflicts in between man to man. In this period, there is no proper relation between mother and children, husband and wife, and even in between friends.
So how can we compare the most precious Treta Yug with Kalyug?

Dear Sam,
I don't mean to change the title. I only feel that we can't compare two yugas. Any how the topic is really nice. However, the main difference:
In Treta Yug, bound to promise is given higher priority. (Praan Jaye par Vachan na Jaaye) Lord Ram didn't return to Ayodhya, when Bharat had came and requested him to come back. If Ramji wishes to become King, every body will feel happy and nobody will restrict (including Dasharath in other world will also be happy). But Ramji didn't do so. Because he had given higher priority to promise. Similarly, Sitaji, Laxman, Bharat, Sugreeva were also bound to promise.
I still have to think more😃😃.
