Heyy everyone

No guesses on what I am about to talk about in this topic...it is ofcourse our beloved character Armaan Mallik!

Ever since the beginning of DMG, Armaan has been one character that has been loved by so many audiences. Almost everyone (mostly girls) would term him as "the perfect guy". Not that I agree, since in my opinion I don't think he is 'perfect'. Just like he has his own charms, he has his own share of flaws too.

I know Armaan's character originally has a streak of naughtiness and mischief, and also the fact that he can do anything for his love (whether its right or wrong). I would be disappointed in some of his behaviours and actions, but I usually looked past that because a better part of his personality (or his cuteness) would later make up for it.

But lately for the past two or three weeks or so, I have noticed a change in Armaan's character. Actually I noticed an earlier change which was his over the top lovesickness for Riddhima (still really hasn't changed much). But recently...no offence, I really cannot stand the immature, over-possesive and dominating side of Armaan. Whether its the way he is unprofessional with his boss (Abhi) or if its being dominating and over possesive about Riddhima, I just feel the real essence of Armaan's character is slowly fading away.

The way Armaan was behaving about Riddhima working with Abhi, I don't think he reacted in that extreme way when he was jealous about Rahul getting close to Riddhima. Those days when Armaan was jealous of Rahul...he acted the way Armaan would normally act and it was cute to watch. But now, he is way more dominating and seems like he wants to make all the decisions for Riddhima and her life. The shades of character he is portraying now a days...really displays his not-so-perfect side. At the moment, he is really far from being the perfect guy.

I really really really miss the old Armaan! 😔(Not lovesick Armaan, but the sensible Armaan 😊)

So what do you guyz have to say about Armaan's character at the moment? Do you also feel a change in him or not?

Please discuss PEACEFULLY! Do NOT bash the character.

I think they want to show that Armaan is the not so perfect guy !! I think al guys go thro this phase and they want to portray this. Here he thinks Abhi is not a good guy but maybe Nikki will tell him that Abhi wants the best for the interns and then Armaan will realise that he was being over possesive abt Ridz. Hopfully he will get over this pblm soon and hehimself will realise that he was being over possivive abt what Ridz shud do and not do

Yeah I get what you mean...Armaan just doesn't seem himself these days and that is why I miss the old Armaan! Especially the way he was in the beginning of the show.

Not that I want to see a "perfect" guy in Armaan...but missing his original character.

I also noticed this change in Armaan... Though I understand that he is trying to act possessive about his Riddhima, but I find it a little annoying... I want my old Armaan! What I find really annoying is that there is a change in Armaan's character and people start bashing Abhi for no reason!!! I have no problem against any of Armaan and Abhi... They're the hottest heros of the show and I am enjoying them no matter how they are...!

i don't get this whole old new thing......i think he is still the same person he always was .......some aspects of the story bring out some parts of the personality more then others. He was always loving caring and endearing towards everyone, he was possessive, little aggressive at times. Some of the stuff people are saying makes it sounds like he is always bossing riddhima around now.....which is not the case. He doesn't trust modi and he told riddhima which is what you are suppose to do.....say it to eachother instead of just holding a personal grudge. Mixing personal and professional lives is not so easy he always had this problem from the beginning......earlier this is what ridz use to keep lecturing him about. His personal life did always effect his professional life. But his character to me was never shown as perfect he was more human whenever he made mistakes and realized them he fixed them in his own way. Which is the same as now. I don't think this whole jealousy or possessiveness issue is unrealistic most guys do react this way. He doesn't trust modi (we don't always like our bosses......and modi is more like him and closer to his age in the show....he doesn't act like this with keerti or shubhankar) he thinks modi wronged his friend and tried to use her for the project and he saw how dirty that patel guy was.....he has reasons for not wanting her to work in the project not just his ego. I don't think he has changed too much .....he is still the same fun loving guy.....its a gradual change in the same character in a different stage of his relationship

I LOVE your topics Dangelz. I truly do. I agree that Armaan is not altogether perfect, what guy is right? But I think part of his possessiveness may stem from the fact that his parents don't exactly get along well with one another and the fact that he is now engaged to Riddhima. And also, Abhi is not a bad looking guy, what man would not feel threatened by him? It's not that Armaan isn't a rational human being any more, but Armaan has always had this insecure side of him, the part that loses his cool when something goes wrong and he doesn't mean to be this way but it comes out. Armaan's insecurity is regarding his love for Riddhima, just as Anjali's has always been her father's love for her etc.

I agree that the character has room for improvement, but I also think all of them have room for improvement at this point.

Agree with the bolded parts! I know Armaan is like that by nature at times, but lately he just hasn't been himself.

Quote of the century. LOL. I agree with every word. He was naughty, in love, dedicated to work, and funny all at the same time before. But for a long period after, he became almost like a lovesick puppy. And it was annoying to see him not care about his job/friends/ANYTHING except Riddhima. Then came the immaturity phase, one thats still going now. What I dont understand, is that this is the same Armaan, who once knew where his proffession was and where love was. Obviously he was naughty, but he didn't initiate fights with senior doctors when they asked Riddhima to assist them in a project!

I'm not even comparing Armaan to any real person, but only to himself before this drastic character change. The fact that he used to be something he's not anymore is the most annoying.
