Akshay Kumar threatened a Singapore hotel !!

What the entire unit of De Dana Dan could not do, Akshay Kumar managed to do in minutes. Akshay's passion for cricket is a well-known fact. So, when he went to Singapore to shoot for Priyadarshan's De Dana Dan, he wanted to watch the IPL matches in his hotel room. But he realised that the hotel, where the unit has been put-up, did not get the channel. The first thing he did was to tell the management to tune in to Set Max or else… he threatened to leave the hotel and check in somewhere else.

Ratan Jain, producer of the film confirmed the story and said, "When Akshay came here last week, he asked me if we are watching the matches. When I told him that it was getting very difficult catch-up with IPL matches because the hotel did not have that channel, he spoke to the owner and told him that if he didn't get the matches, he won't stay in the hotel. Within minutes the channel started beaming in the hotel."

Jain added, "I guess, apart from us Indians, no one was interested in the IPL. The hotel also must have paid a huge amount to subscribe to the channel; but Akshay is happy and now the entire unit can watch the matches together during breaks."

*snort* I can just imagine the scene that would have happened after he spoke to the owner. Btw, I very much doubt he spoke to the owner? Manager, yeah i'll believe that. In any case, I doubt the credibility of the story. After all, how many people in Singapore actually know akshay kumar? and why wld they care if he switched hotels... hmmmmm...
