Chandra sees Selva coming out of Aish's room and asks what heis doing there. Selva tells her he went to advise Aish to agree to the wedding. Chandra gives him a stare. Selva calls Aish out and asks her to tell her mother that she has agreed to the wedding. Aish comes out and says the wedding will take place. Chandra is surprised but says this is the one good thing he has ever done and leaves. Selva smiles and says the wedding will take place but he is her mapilai.

Karthik is held captive and one of his guard tells him not to try and escape and show the other playing cards nearby. The man leave to our ease himself. Karthik somehow gets his hands untied. He sees the man's cell there and uses it to call Ranjini. Ranjini and family are at home worried about Karthik. Ranjini receives call from Karthik who tells her that he has gone to pondicherry and will be back in time for her wedding and hangs up. The man comes back and asks Karhtik if he called the police. Karthik says he did not call police but his sister who is getting married the next day. He begs the man to let him go or at least follow him to the wedding and after the wedding has taken place to bring him back. The man listens intently but tells him not to lie and ties him up again.

Wedding preparations are taking place at both Chandra's and Ranjini's place. The priest and family are busy getting everything ready. Ranjini in her room not dressed in her wedding attire but is sad thinking about her brother. Saradha goes to her and asks her to get ready as everyone will be there soon.

Karthik once agains sets himself free and gets up only to see his guard there. The man tells Karthik to go. Karthik thanks him and runs off. After a few minutes, the man goes to the others and tell them Karthik has escaped. The men start looking for Karhtik and they see him running and the chase begins.

Saradha goes to Ranjini's room and asks her to get ready again. Ranjini asks if Karthik has returned. Saradha telles her he will return soon and for her to stop crying as brides should be happy and not sad. Ranjini asks why are they suffering in order to get the wedding done and they should have listened to her when she asked to postpone the wedding . Saradha says Karthik would have had a grander weddingif he had the money. Ranjini disagrees but Saradha tells her daughter this is nothing compared to what Ranjini has done for the family. THODARUM.

Chandra catches hold of Aish's neck and start shouting at her saying she married a begger and have shamed her. Saradha tries to talk to Chandra but Chandra shouts at her saying she had planned all this because they wanted her money. Rajagopal says that it wa s Aish who had been running after Karthik but Chandra is beyond reason and shouts. She pulls Aish trying to get her out but Ranjini stops her telling her to take her hands off Aish or else. Chandra leaves saying she will teach them all a lesson.

Back in her house, Chandra beats up her brother Selva and even takes a gun out to shoot him. Kannan tries to stop her but Chandra is so made that she refuses to listen. Rajadevan comes there and tells her not to kill her brother because it isnot his fault. He changes the whole story around saying Ranjini had planned all this by hiding her brother somewhere and the wedding supposedly be hers is actually for Aish and Karthik. He says otherwise how can Aish know to get there in time? Chandra says she will make her daughter come back to her and get her married to someone else. Rajadevan says that isnot possible as she is a married woman. Chandra says that is true if she is still married but remarrige to a widow is allowed. Rajadevan looks at Chandra.

Ranjini and family return home with the bride and groom. Once at the door, Ranjini tells her mother to bring aarti for the newlyweds. Sarada tells her off and walks away. Ranjini then tells Meena to bring and do aarti for the newly weds. Meena does aarti and they go inside. Aish hesitates but Ranjini tells her to go in as now this is her house. Karthik too just stares at them. Suddenly they hear a voice cally Ranjini. Ranjini turns around and see Gopi's sister-in-law standing outside full of anger. THODARUM.

Maheswari screams Ranjini's name. Ranjini asks her to come in and asks where the others are. Mashes asks why should they come and get humiliated again. Mashes goes on to talk bad about Ranjini's family. She asks Ranjini how dare she make her own decision without asking anyone of them even Gopi whom had loved Ranjini for so many years and had hope to have a life with her. Ranjini is unableto say anything. Sarada and Rajagopal try to talk to Mahes but she refuses to listen and tell them that all relationship with them has been severed and says they will find another bride for Gopi and leaves. Ranjini is shocked. Sarada turns to Aish and tells her off saying she and her mother had gone to extremes to make them suffer. Karthik too leaves with a disgusted look on his face.

Aish tells Ranjini that she did not do anything wrong. She had come there to be saved and not to stop Ranjini's wedding. She tells how she had tricked Karthik into coming to the guest house in the hope of taking a picture of them together but Karthik had gone futher and had sex with her. She says she was unable to stop because she was intoxicated by the drug she put in the drinks. Ranjini tells her not to worry and that she has every right in the house as this is her house.

Rajagopal and Sarada are quietly sitting. Ranjini is getting Aish ready for the nuptial night. Aish tells her how scared she is as everyone in the family is looking at her as though she is a monster. Ranjini tells her not to worry as everything will be alright. Aish takes the milk container and enters the room and goes to Karthik and asks for his blessing. Karthik shuts her off saying she and her mother had done everything in their power to destroy his family's happiness. He tells her to go back to her mother and if she wants to stay in his house, he will make sure her life is a living hell and leaves a shocked and worried Aish. Ranjini is in her room looking at her locket that holds hers and Gopi's picture. THODARUM.

Ranjini looks at both her parents' photo and cries saying she has failed in her mission to avenge their death. She cries saying their enemy, Chandra has now become in-laws to her surrogate family. Ranjini meets Sathia and he tells her about his shock at the turn of events. He tells her this is also a good thing because she can now use Chandra's relationship with the family to carry out her mission. He tells her not to think about hurting her brother or her family but to be careful.

Kannan meets Selva and tells him they must bring Aish back. He tells Selva that after the first trimester, there would be no way to abort the child and then they can tell it is Selva's baby. Selva wonders how this can be done. Kannan says they must convince Chandra to call her daughter and bring her back. He says Aish will never turn her mother down.

It is morning. Aish brings water and cleans the front porch, pours water and puts kolam. Newspaper man arrives and gives her the morning paper. Aish takes it inside and gives it to Rajagopal who asks her why she is doing that as he knows how to get his papers. Aish feels sad but goes into the kitchen to see Meena trying tomake coffee. Meena talks to her and asks if Karthik has simmered down. Aish tells Meena she will make the coffee. Sarada arrives and shouts at Meena saying no oneis allowed into her kitchen and tells Meena to throw the coffee and wash the dishes as she will make the coffee for her. She also tells Aish not to call her attai. Meena is sad and has tears in her eyes. Meena tells her to forget about it and to take coffee for Karthik.

Aish takes cofee to Karthik and wakes him up. He refuses the coffee and tells her to leave but Aish tells him to take it. Karthik gets up and pushes away the coffee and it falls on the floor. Ranjini comes there and scolds Karthik. She tells him that Aish has left all her wealth and family to come live with him because she loves him. She says no one has the right to shun her and it is not good to do so. Saradha and Meena listens to this and turn away. THODARUM.

Chandra to go and bring Aish back to their house, He tells her something might happen to Aish and then what will they do. If Aish is out of the way, after a couple of years, Karthik will remarry without a problem. It is Aish Chandra should think about. Chandra listens and thinks.

Everyone is seated at the dining table and Sarada is about to serve food. Ranjini comes out and Sarada asks her to sit. Ranjinia sks where Aish is and everyone keeps quiet and Meena tells Aish sais she is not hungry and will eat later. Ranjini goes inside and asks Aish why she is not eating. Aish starts her opari about no one likes her or talk to her except Ranjini when she is home. Otherwise, she is only sitting in the room with nothing to do. Ranjini asks her to get ready and come to the table.

Ranjini comes to the table and sees Karthik all dressed up and asks where is is going. Karthik says he has to go to work. Aish comes to the table and sits down. Ranjini tells her mother to serve food for everyone. Ranjini tells Karthik not to go to work but to take Aish out to the beach and other places. Karthik tries to object but Ranjini shuts him up and tells him to her out and talk to her. After they leave, Ranjini tells Sarada that it is not Aish fault and they should not mistreat her. She tells her mother to treat Aish like a daughter not DIL.

Aish and Karthik sitting at the beach. Aish sees a couple playing lovingly and moves nearer to Karthik but he moves apart. Aish then hold his hand. Karthik gets angry and tells her no to touch him and not to play the same tune. He tells her he is not responsbilbe for her prenancy. Aish tells him if he will believe her when she dies and Karthik tells her to go and die and this will definitely make him happy and walks away without looking back. Aish wipes away her tears and walks towards the sea. THODARUM.
