Jai Shri Krishna...4th.May-09' Written Update...

Nand's house:-

Krishna is playing flute and Yashoda maiyya brings the food, but seeing him engrossed in playing a sweet melody, she also stops for a while to listen and enjoy, Nand comes there and seeing her holding plate of food, he tries to take from it, but Yashoda stops him saying this is for Kanhaa, Nand says to feed Kanhaa, but she shows that he is busy playing flute.

Kanhaa opens his eyes nd Yashoda tells him to eat the food, but Kanhaa says he is not hungry. Suddenly Dadi maa calls Krishna, Krishnaa, where is my grandson?.Kanhaa replies that I am here Dadi maa and he goes to her, she says that I have brought kheer for you. Kanha is delighted and tells her that he will eat the kheer as he is hungry. Dadi maa feeds him with her hand and he is praising her kheer. Yashoda and Nand are suprised.

Kanhaa tells her to feed him more, dadi maa is happy that Kanhaa like the kheer. Suddenly Jamuna enters the house and says Kanhaa look what i have got for you? I have prepared Halwa for you. Kanhaa takes the halwa from her and start eating it.

Yashoda feels hurt and she goes away in other room and keeps the plate on bed and si in tears. Nand comes to her room. Krishna also follows them. He jumps on bed and tells that maiyya, I am hungry please feed me. Yashoda replies that she wont feed him, cos he said that is not hungry a while ago, when she came to his room. Kanhaa replies maiyya when you feed me, i dont feel like eating anything cos as i am internally satisfied,had i eaten with you, thn dadi maa and Jamuna wudhv felt bad, that's the reaso i dint ate.

Krishna gets the plate from her hands and says maiya feed me,iam hungry.

Nand tells him that maiyya is still angry and i dont think she will feed you. Krishna says maiyya jaldi karo bhookh lagi hai and he opens his mouth. Yashoda smiles and start feeding him. Krishna also feed her. Nand is smiling at them.

Ashram:-

Brahmins are busy in preparations for havan, seeing their wives going out with pot in their hands, they ask them the reason for going out. They replies to them since there is no water in the ashram, so they are going to fetch water from nearby river. But the brahmins are not satisfied with their answer and they talk with each other saying that something is fishy.

Those ladies as they go out of the ashram. Kaali maina meets them and they ask her whether she can take them to Krishna? one of them ask that can we have the darshan of Krishna? Kaali mayna says that she will take them to Krishna.

Suddenly Brahmins shouts at them and ask them where they are going?

ONe of them says that they are going to meet Krishna, why will God take incarnation in Gokul?

Other says, how can a God steal makhan?how can he break the pots of gopis?

Another says, the ladies came in contact with Kaali maina, her shadow also impure us, so they shud not enter the ashram, let them take bath first.

Kali maina tries to say something, but they shout at her and tells her to stay away from their ashram, she leaves from there in tears.

As they try to enter in ashram, brahmins tells thm not to enter without bath, we are doing prayers to achieve the heaven, but you are draggin us in hell with your deeds, since kalimayna is untouchable, her shadow is also impure..so go and take bath and thn enter in ashram.

Nand's house:-

Nand is washing the feet of two sages and they says that Maharishi Shandilya has given us prasad for you and they give to Yashoda and Nand. They say further that if the person has done prayers with full devotion, Parmeshwar ( God) comes in person and gives his darshan and our prayers are not so strong enough that God will give us darshan.

As he says this to Nand, Krishna enters and looks at them. Suddenly they both see sudarshan chakra on Krishna's head and they fold their hands to him.

One of them says Nand lal jee, now we know the reason why Maharishi Shandilya has send us here to meet you. Nandlal jee now you dont need to go for pilgrimage, as your house, your family has become place of pilgrimage. God himself resides in your house.

Nand baba tells Krishna to make pranaam to rishi. Krishna says pranaam to them. But they say to him that our pilgrimage is successful, God always take cares of his devotees and Gurus are never wrong, we are seeing with own eyes. Krishna smiles at them.

Krishna is playing flute and Balraam is sittin beside him. He says to Kanhaa..rishi was right in saying that Parmeshwar gives the darshan to his devotees, so when are you going to give the darshan to Brahmin wives?..

Kanhaa says cutely very soon Dau bhaiyya, your order will be fulfilled.😆😆

Mathura:-

Kans goes to meet Vasudev, seeing him coming in his cell Vasudev jee laughs at him and makes sarcastic remarks saying i am thinking abt myslf, my time will come soon, maybe 5 or 6 years and i will be out of this prison forever, cos Krishna is going to kill you within tht time, as all ur frnds are dying.

Kans gets wild and tells Channur to bring vasudev in wrestling ring. Channur seems to be bit confused. Kans is sitting with Keshini and tells Vasudev to fight with a wrestler, if he defeats him in bout, Kans will drop the idea of killing Krishna and he will make peace.

A Giant wrestler is standing beside Vasudev and kans warns him that if he looses the bout, he will be dead.

Vasudev fights with the wrestler, but soon he is beaten up by wrestler and lying on floor semiconcious, Kans laughs at him and announces that Vasudev doesnt want peace between Krishna and me, so now i drop the idea of making peace. I will kill Krishna.

He tells Channur and the gaurds to take vasudev in his cell. As channur comes closer to Vasudev, suddenly Vasudev takes the sword from Channur and throws at Kans, but it hit near his throne. Kans is shocked. Vasudev says that I dont want to interfere between you and vidhaata, asyou are destined to die by him, if i wanted i cudhv killed you now.

Ashram:-

Brahmins wives ask them questions,

Why do you do the Yagya?

Brahmin:- to achieve the heaven.

Wife:- to achieve that doesnt we need the blessings of God?

Brahmin:-nothing can be achieved without his blessings.

Wives:- God came to our place, but neither you allow us to have his darshan, nor you did his pooja, offered him tilak or aarti.

Brahmins:- are you talkin about Krishna?hw many times i had told you Krishna is not a God.

Wives:- Yes Krishna is God. Try to see with your inner eyes.

Brahmins are angry nw:- dont try to teach us, krishna is not God and if you really think he is and want to meet him, thn you have to leave ur husband.

Brahmins wives are sad and they pray to Krishna saying that their devotion, love and faith for him is pure. They have surrendered to him, please accept our love, devotion and faith, if you think we are sincere. We want to have your darshan.

They close their eyes and Shri Krishna gives the darshan to them, with Lotus, mace, cronch and sudharshan in his hands and with cute smile on his face.

Another fantastic episode of Krishna Leela..atlast Brahmins wives got the darshan of Krishna...it is simply a pure love and devotion and faith in Krishna one shud have. This is how brahmins wives achieved what their husbands were doing since many years without any fruit.👏

I don't normally watch this show, but today, I happened to catch it during the IPL. One thing that struck me about the second half was the incident with Vasudev and the wrestling - is it there in any of the puranas, or is it the Sagars waxing eloquent here as well, just as they are doing in the Ramayan? From what I recall, Vasudev and Devaki were in simple confinement during Krishna's childhood, and it was only after Kamsa's death that either of them got out free.

Also, the conversation between Vasudev and Kamsa seemed very out of character - Vasudev wasn't exactly the defiant type.

@ chandraketu ---------as raj & lalitha_janaki have much knowledge abt the dwapar yuga & puranas & uptill now raj & lalitha have been satisfied with the show,so from tht i can say tht the show is authentic & being directed according to sources of this show (which r mentioned as soon as the show starts ) !!!

the JAI SHRI KRSIHNA team of sagars is doing great job ,the show has been set up in the village of kolhapur in MAHARASHTRA & along with the sagars ,the COLOSCUM INDIA PICTURES r also the producers of this show !!!! so this show is not out n out show of sagars !!!! sagars r co=producers of this show ,plus the creativ eteam of colors involved in this channel is great as the creative head of colors shailja khejriwala paid lot of attention to this show as its the only mytho show on colors & colors creative team pay a lot of attention on their shows ,this is what she mentioned in one of her SBS interviews !!!

i am really liking the show & all i can say is tht JAI SHRI KRSIHNA team is doing a fabuous job !!😛

i think ur probably right chandraketu; some incidents shown such as the recent kali-maina track and all of this extension of vasudev's role are a product of the extensive "creative license" employed by the new generation of the sagars.

it cites the same puranic sources as the original serial did, but having read several of them I can tell you for sure that they don't go into half as much detail as the show - just a couple of shlokas per demon and other major incidents, no tiny details about other villagers in gokul like jamuna, kamla etc. Even kan's wife keshni, who has become a pretty major character on the show, is a deviation from the puranas - in the texts, kans is married to jarasandh's two daughter's asthi and prapti who are just as bad as he is.

the show does also cite "other folk literatures" as a source, so i guess that could possibly be where some of these story archs are from, though i doubt any folk tales exist regarding the details of vasudev and devaki's imprisonment - that seems to be a plotline they are muddling up to explain the absence of the actress who plays her cuz shes doing that chhoti bahu show on zee.

having said that, i personally don't mind some of the stuff they are making up; the kali maina plot certainly bears a message about equality and social justice which is worth conveying, and those deep messages probably get across to the audience effectively when that cutie-pie dhriti articulates them.

however, like i've said before, i wish they left devaki and vasudev's characters as they were in the original serial, in which they were more chill but exemplified the values of patience/ forbearance/ love and added depth to the show IMO, rather than making them out to be the inconsistent soap opera characters they've been lately. all in all, creative license can be cool if not used to make existing characters uncool, i think.

Chandraketu, it is not mentioned inany of puranas the incident between Vasudev and wrestler, this is sagar's own screenplay...as far as i have read Vasudev and Devki were confined in jail as long as Krishna came to Mathura. Thyey were released by Krishna, as once he killed Kans, he immediately went to the prison and broke their shackles and freed them.

Vasudev was quite and humble person, he was not of defiant type and nor he used to make mockery of Kans, the way they are showing here.

You are most welcome Sita...I would like to mention here that, I do like the show, I do agree with few points raised here by some members that sagars have created some characters, which is right, it is not mentioned in Sudha-sagar or Sukh sagar or in Shrimad Bhagwad puran about Kaali maina, or Vasudev being so defiant and makes taunting remarks to Kans, Devaki was not kept in seperate cell. This is not mentioned in Vishnu puran too. Maybe they have taken from folk tales.

But i did mentioned that the way Dhriti has acted brilliantly at such tender age the role of Krishna, it does create the love, devotion for Lord Krishna, sagars have created a positive impact on people. So we should ignore the other aspects, as long as it gives us that inner satisfaction. I have seen many people those who hardly pray, have become addict to JSK serial and loves Krishna.

So just enjoy the show.

Thanks. I did enjoy the Krishna part of the show - I don't know much about Krishna's childhood the way I do about his confrontations w/ Jarasandha, Shishupala, Shalva, Purandara Vasudeva, Narakasura and the Swayamtaka muni stories, so I actually don't have any questions regarding those.

But I agree w/ you - what I found some sort of an eye sore was the depiction of Vasudeva: from what I knew, he was fully incarcerated, and whenever Mathura did come into question, it was always Kamsa plotting the end of Krishna. Logically, if one thinks about it, it makes sense too - Kamsa knew that Krishna was the one destined to kill him, so hurting Vasudeva or Devaki wouldn't have made Kamsa any more safer than killing Devaki's first 6 kids made him.

Aside from the above, it's worth noting that even though Vasudeva was a kshatriya, he rarely did any fighting (same seems true about Ugrasena): the only fighting he could have been involved in happened after Kamsa's death, when Jarasandha wanted to avenge his 2 daughters being widowed, and for all those wars, they used to be fought by Krishna & Balarama, backed up later by Satyaki, Pradhyumna, Charudeshna, Samba, Kritavarma, et al. So the depiction of Vasudev as someone who wrestled, or hurled fighting words @ Kamsa, was inconceivable.

IN Shrimad Bhagwad puran, Nara Muni reveals to Kans about Krishna that he is Devki's 8th child, thn Kans plans a conspiracy and invites Krishna in Mathura...here Sagars have given a new twist, Since he surreounded by his evil friends and they used to advice him on all matters, Ugrasen was helpless, cos the army was with Kans and same thing applies to Vasudev, being a Kshatriya, they wre helpless and they cannot beat him single handedly.

Keshini here is shown devoted to Krishna, but in purans it is not mentioned, infact when Krishna killed Kans, Jarasandh wanted to take revenge and his daughters werein anger as they asked him to take revenge from Krishna..BUt Balraam and Krishna defeated so many warriors. Later Krishna went and freed Vasudev and Devki.

DHRITI is absolutely genius as KRSIHNA ,she is just a carbon copy of KRISHNA (tht is wht the viewers think & the ratings of this show also says itself )😃

so tht def. make us glue to the show & all the actors r brillIant in the show 👏

the only thing which i hv hated uptill now in the show is the tribal revealing costume of kaaali maina !!!!

i think the makers r showing the story of villagers as its a daily soap (5 days a week ) so they r showing every aspect of the life of gokul ppl & uptill now each n every aspect has been depicted very clearly & wid a social message !!!! & I HV seen so many folk tales related to LORD KRISHNA in the shows DHARAM & SAMARPAN on aaj tak & starnews channels !!!!

yesterday only a folk tale related to KALLIYA NAAG was shown on aaj tak news channel ,in which they told the story of kallia naag & his 7 sons,esp his eldest son dhawal naag (white colored snake) & what happened to kaaliya naag wen he was defeated by KRISHNA & left gokul !!!

KALLIA NAAG moved to the mountains of uttaranchal & there he established his kingdom !!! still in the uttaranchal montains there r temples of kallianaag & his 7 sons ,mountain ppl worship them !!!!the story is long ,

on website www.aajtak .com ,THE VDO'S of this spiritual show DHARAM r available !!!!

whenever i get time i always catch up these shows on aaj tak & starnews !!!

we as viewers r just loving the leelas of KRISHNA & BALRAM !!!! & there is always a message hidden in every leela of KRISHNA which is really worthy in this time of KALYUGA !!!!
