Thanks for the update, Netra. Hmm, I too was wondering initially how Suja knew about James and now it seems Arthi had mentioned meeting Ganesh through James. Who did Arthi mention that to? Did she meet or somehow communicate with Suja? Or did she write that in her email to her friend.
I think the petition referred to in Suja's conversation with the lawyer is habeas corpus -- a writ to show cause for detention. But that usually wouldn't work in cases involving terrorism, where governments have arrogated to themselves arbitrary powers. Earlier, I was criticising the producers for showing excessive behaviour on the part of the police, e.g., Mayavathi presuming Sezhiyan guilty by association and torturing him. But I now take back my words for such government excesses are in fact taking place today in several countries, including the US (though Obama is now trying to clean up the American record and restore the traditional American respect for human rights).
