Salman Khan helps blind band

Mumbai: Here's another addition to good samaritan, Salman Khan's generous deeds. When blind music band, Udaan approached Sallu to be chief guest for their live show and an ambassador for the band, Sallu was unable to make it because of his busy schedule, but promised that he would help in his own way.

He quickly called up Kishen Kumar (of T-series) and asked him to give this band a break. After which Bhushan Kumar and Kishen Kumar saw a demo CD of their live performance and decided to give them a break. Keval Haria, manager for the band is grateful to Salman.

"We had asked him to be an ambassador so we showed him our live demo. He was so happy with it that he went to Kishen Kumar and requested him to help us cut an album," he says.

Bhushan Kumar has now promised to give the band a couple of albums every year. "He suggested that we do an instrumental album to start with since it has its own market. But he told us that he will work on a couple of albums every year. We are extremely happy," says Haria.

The album Udaan Instrumentals is the band's instrumental version of classic Bollywood numbers like Baho Me Chale Aao, Dekha Ek khwab and Aao Huzzor. Without disturbing the original compositions they have done their own techno, hip hop and lounge mix of these songs.

Nonetheless,it was too sweet of Salman.
