From what I see Deepika seems to be going the Aishwarya way whose popularity keeps inceasing with the number of haters. Just like Ash she will be laughing all the way to bank when these folks keep cooking up articles and pictures against these fine ladies.

Right and how many mainstream movies do you see with Konkana as the main lead ? or Chitrangadha or even Nandita Das ?(all 3 of them beautiful and talented actresses IMO)
the film industry especially Bollywood is extremely shallow - here unfortunately looks , luck and connections matter much more than talent. So for Deepika to get where she is now is commendable - her acting is subjective . Anway this thread was abot why she is a supermodel not her acting abilities.

exactly.....what is the connection between acting n modeling...lol..dont bother.....if she is an bad actress, y is the director casting her in all the movies...ppl hv problems like i dont like Deepika but i hv to watch all her movies, thanks for watching her movie or else u cant comment on her acting.......n i dont like Deepika but i hv to read every articles related to her n i hv to see every pic of her.....hhhaa..lol..confused people who can deside whther they like her or not........

I don't consider Deepika a supermodel but not for the reasons that this article cites. Contrary to what people usualy say, I honestly don't see any ferocity from Deepika on the ramp or the magazine shoots. No doubt, the girl has charizma and beauty, but she comes across as dull to me esp on the ramp and photoshoots.

Deepika is a supermodel since she endorsed worldwide products. She's known in the USA and everywhere else. She was a supermodel before she became an actress.
