Agreed that regionalism wouldn't exist but then wouldn't in just because you support the contestant from your town in kerala vs I support the contestant from my town in kerala? I don't think that is the sole reason paulson came to mumbai. I mean if I had the chance of fame in one state compared to national fame and to a certain extent even international fame, then I know what I would go for. Also language is a huge barrier, I feel there are quite a few who personally don't understand hindi or simply refuse to speak hindi and this is coming from personal experience and I hope no-one gets offended.

But hey im not denying the high levels of competition down south, I like the way they set standards. But for the first time in a long time on national tv, I think DID too has set some standards too which is why the dances we see are usually awesomee.😊

Agree there could be a language barrier but in most cases they do speak English so there should not be a problem..😃

I dont want to comment on regionalism, as I hold different values about it, and many Keralites would be thinking similarly, as far as I know. I am not denying that there would be a bunch of people who would vote for the contestant from their town, but majority wouldnt think like that in Kerala. Region, religion, gender, and family background hold no barriers for talent. You would be surprised - you have to experience it to understand what I am talking about. Look at the top singers in there, or actors and actresses - they welcome anyone regardless of region and religion, when there's talent. No one cares about the religion or looks of Yesudas, Mammootty, Mohanlal, etc - they are the pride of Kerala, and so are Chitra, Shobhana, KK, Asin, Priyadarshan, Rasool Pookkutty, and many many more. Every single mallu take immense pride in their talented people, let it be movies, dance, music, or the like.
