Youths gathered to watch bollywood actor Salman Khan, went on a rampage in Vadodara as Salman failed to turn up.
The incident happened on Sunday evening, in Vadodara's Karelibag area, where Congress party's Youth convention was organized by Vadodara Lok Sabha candidate Satyajit Gaikwad.Salman was scheduled to address a Youth Congress gathering in Karelibag after completing a road show in the city.
Youths started gathering at the venue for the youth convention from 5:00 pm onwards.
Repeated announcement were frequently made on a mike that Salman Khan would arrive shortly. But at one point, it was announced that Salman Khan was tired doing a road show and therefore he would spend some time in rest before coming to the venue of Youth convention. However after some time, it was suddenly announced that due to bad health, Salman Khan had to return back to Mumbai, leaving his road show mid-way but he would be back to meet the youths in Vadodara on 18th May.
This announcement made youths angry. The Police force deployed at the place, worked hard to control the youths on rampage then after. Earlier before his road show, Salman Khan in a brief talk with the media said, "I do campaign for good candidates who want to give something to the society. I don't campaign for a party, I do it for a candidate."
According to sources, Salman deserted his road show mid-way due to extreme heat wave condition that gripped Vadodara on Sunday. When Salman's road show reached near Ilora Park, he said, "I can't bear this. I just can't bear this. I would have to return back now."For Congress candidate Satyajit Gaikwad, this was definitely a very embracing situation, but he couldn't do anything.
