because this is simply biased.
Mainly because the votes are not real votes.

I am in for that too - that way there would be equality and it will also provide encouragement for the girls and the familes having daughters - remember in the audition, many girls said that though they love dance so much, their families dont want them to learn dance. By making a girl winner, Zee will help to lift a lot of those barriers up for girls... Also, it would be more enjoyable to watch duet dances than solo, when they finally make a boy-girl pair win....

its not a new matter..it happens in all reality shows...i guess its not the shows fault..it can b the audience's fault who r voting 4 boys more than girls...no matter if there r girls who are as good as the boys...now i jus really hope tht atleast alisha stays till the final

It's just a shame that its at the cost of a regular viewer

and I have no idea why people think they are "100% sure salman is gonna win" because that is exactly what zee wants them to think! Just look at SRGNP, antakshiri and all these other shows. The winner usually is not the best so end up being a failure in the industry and I pray that doesn't happen again. Just think about qazi, prashant, sandeep and even a lot of winners in BW. If the winner is not the best one of the lot, the same will happe but thats just my two cents.

I am not even sure now whether he has the veto power?! 😕 I wish he will use it for a girl than a boy, if he has the power like that to use once. Because boys will be getting more votes anyway than girls, but girls like Vrushali is no less than the boys when it comes to talent...
I agree with you regarding the winner's future in the industry... It wasnt like that a few years ago though - Sunidhi came up as a playback singer after being a winner. Shreya also got noticed through a reality show, I believe (I havent seen it, only read about it). But when you look at the winners of SRGMP, where are they all now? Only Amanat Ali got more chances even though he was 3rd - not to mention he was also very good in that year's set of contestants. I wish Poonam had got chances, but she never did. Though Mauli was 7th (??), she got the hosting for Rock N Roll. Same for Asma - I read that she will be an anchor to Zee in the Middle East. I hope Vaishali will get more chances in movies - her voice is so good. Looking at the history, the top one and two dont make it, as they end up in a contract with Zee, whereas the rest are free to explore their opportunities further, without being tied by a contract...
So at the end, people like to see and hear more from the talented ones, and so they gain more popularity and fame. That's what Kavithaji said while being the Maha Guru for SRGMP C09 show - that she didnt win a music competition she went to, and was very upset, but later in life, she ended up getting chances and ended up as a playback singer while those who were in top places didnt...

Yeah currently winners rarely go very far. Even though you mention that they are bounded by contracts, I still feel that if they weren't they still wouldn't have gotten very far😕
Amanat ali is indeep a great singer and has so much potential but after last year's incidents I really doubt his future in India. With asma, good luck to her! she has a great charming personality but I reallyy think that deep down she didn't want to be a host in the middle east-she wanted that opportunity in India and her love for the country was so evident during every episode. Even toshi from SVOI got a great song to sing which turned out to be a massive hit so its important to have the incentive to grab every opportunity that comes your way too.😊
There are always exceptions like sunidhi, shreya, abhijeet sawant, karunya (runner up) but in general a true deserving talent rarely wins. I hope DID breaks that myth and gives us India's best dancer! 😃
They're all great dancers, let's just see where life takes them...

Talent is rarely rewarded nowadays, it's not so much a matter of talent as it is about having an identity, otherwise the entertainment/film industry wouldn't be filled with bad actors and singers. Any tom dick or harry can become a singer today, you just gotta have a distinctive vocal tone, a individual style of your own, take Atif for example, that guy can't sing to save his life, but he's a hit!.
It's not like the olden days, where playback singers were trained in their art for years, nowadays we have technology is cover up all sorts of errors.

I agree with you here, AA, but one thing though - I might sound silly as I did to my friends by saying this - I really like Atif's "Pehli Nazar" song so much! 😳 I dont know about his other songs, but this song has won my heart... Why is that no one likes him - even my Paki friends were pissed off with me for liking him! 😕

Yes, true, I agree. Sad though, that real talent doesnt get proper recognition these days... How would people expect to have a fair treatment for their own kith and kin, if they dont provide a fair support for others who deserve to win...
Honestly in C07 I wanted Poonam to win, but she was eliminated from top four. Not because she was poor, but she had the talent and voice quality. I have only heard about Toshi, never watched that show. Asma has the potential to be a host, though not to be a singer! The truth is she was given a chance to sing by Aadesh, and Yashita got a chance from Himesh, whereas Vaishali who was the best didnt get a chance even from her own mentor HR!! Shankar would definitely give chance to Prathibha, I believe, and I am looking forward to see her singing in movies... I have to yet wait and see what will happen to Debojit Dutta and Soumen...
Raja also got a chance from Vishal Shekhar - they kept their promise to him. Aneek had the album, and then he disappeared! Raja has been doing a lot of shows, so he is doing well in life. Amanat did a lot of international shows, but havent heard about him for a while now. I hope Zee will bring them all for a get together gala night or something...
I am also keeping my fingers crossed for DID... Among the remaining, I dont mind anyone winning as long as they have shown consistent improvement and versatility. Right now, I think only Jai and Siddhesh are at that level, and Alisha among girls (it was Vrushali, but since she is eliminated, I pick Alisha).

He really can't sing, I only consider those who can sing live to be singers, not these machine enhanced studio "singers".

Okay, maybe it's the composition, but this song melts my heart... I havent heard the Korean original, though I have heard a lot of stories regarding Pritam stealing notes from Korean music...
I agree that many playback singing today is enhanced with studio's audio special effects, as well as sung with several pause and breaks rather than in one stretch or flow like they did during the prime era of legendary singers like Lataji, Ashaji, Rafi Saab, and all...

Veryy true, nowadays we have any besure giving playback songs. All the production house really cares about is votes, votes and more votes. But if you watch BGT or x factor or any british/american reality show, they NEVER EVER say xyz from london or from manchester or whatever but when I saw the unedited version (indian one where people are asking for vote appeals) its always someone speaking in marathi.punjabi or just stating the place they come from-how pathetic! How can they put their region infront of their nation?it was infact mianly the hosts but that's only cos they get told to say stuff like that. I think it was Jai - "please welcome mumbai ki jaan vrushali and jai" and every performance is like that! Its really annoying, are people purposely trying to divide the nation or what?!
Its hard to even tell anyone these days that do your best, give it your all and you'll reach your goal because with shows like this it seems like they never really will. It's just like a false hope. In most reality shows, only 1/2 and maybe 3 go on and achieve their goals or they're simply a one hit wonder. All the 'recgonition' they've supposedly got through national television just disappears.😕
and i'm with you on the atif point, he's like akon, can't sing to save his life but still a massive hit. Modern technology ki jai ho!😛
