There was an interview with a make-up artist forgot his name. He mentioned that there is no such thing as NO-Make up. But there is a no-makeup look which is what they gave to Manisha Koirala in Dil Se.

Directors like Mani Ratnam insists no-makeup look for their actors. With this make up they cover all the blemishes and other things on face and provide a clear face.

If you guys watch aishwarya interview with a guy that does her make-up, he mention that he did a "NO make-up look for her" which means make-up that covers your flaws but your face will still look natural and have the NO make-up look.

But Mani wants no make up at all which is hard for any actress to do.
