Alright, am I the only one who is feeling iffy about the entire using props for dances??? If a prop can naturally be worked into a dance, then well and good....but why give props like elastic bands an blindfolds???
Honestly, I'm not feeling very impressed with the dances.....yes, they are good considering that the prps have to be integrated...but this is supposed to be a dance show..not a prop usage show!!!! The choreography to bring out particular dance styles is now hindered due to the fact that props have to be used which is why, for most of the dances, we only get to see basic steps being used....the tough and intricate steps are not used at all.....
I don't htink that its the props which make the dance interesting....its the choreography and if the choreographer wants to use a prop, let him becasue that is how he has envisioned the song...and if he does not want to use a prop...he should be given that freedom as well because his vision of the dance an the way it should be performed is different....
What do you guys think???
