It seems Sooraj Barjatya is finally changing gears from the world of family drama. It is rumoured that Barjatya is all set to make a historical epic next.

According to reports, Barjatya has zeroed in on Abhishek Bachchan for his next film which is based on the life of Mughal court singer Tansen. The biggest surprise however is that Satish Kaushik has been chosen as the director of this film.

The bad news is that Satish Kaushik's last directorial venture was Karzzz starring Himesh Reshammiya.

Apart from the audience, this is bad news for Abhishek, who needs to tread very carefully at the moment, since he's had a bit of a bad run in the recent past, with films like Drona and Delhi-6 not doing well at the Box Office.

Apart from the Barjatya project, Abhishek is working alongside wife Aishwarya in Mani Ratnam's much-hyped Ravana. It is also rumoured that him and Ash have been cast in a remake of the Big B-Jaya starrer Abhimaan. Isn't that too much pressure to perform well?
