After replacing Vidya Balan in David Dhawan's Hook Yaa Crook, the actress will now play Jiah Khan's role in Ken Ghosh's Yahoo.

A source reveals, "As soon as producers UTV Motion Pictures and director Ken Ghosh decided to throw Jiah Khan out of the project, they started auditioning for her replacement.

They required a young bubbly face for the role and Genelia was the first option that came to mind. The actress is already a part of UTV's Hook Yaa Crook and was immediately contacted for this role.

The script suits Genelia and more importantly, even Shahid gave a green signal to her inclusion."

The source continues, "Shahid Kapoor was the chief reason for Jiah's exit from the movie. He was never fond of the actress and always had issues with her.

He spoke to Ken about Jiah not living up to the role's demands. Ken overlooked it initially but later spoke to the production house.

Ken is Shahid's friend and always listens to what he has to say. Interestingly, this movie started way before Kaminey and Haddipa but is still incomplete, the sole reason being Ken adjusting to Shahid's dates."

Both UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ken Ghosh remained unavailable for comment. Genelia didn't revert back as well.
