'Black' was copied from a Hollywood movie "Miracle Worker" based on Helen Keller's life.......actually the first half was entirely based on 'miracle Worker". The second half was SLB's own contribution.

About time!!! I have always wondered why Hollywood has turned the other cheek knowing that all its films and music have been ripped off by Indian movie makers for years. I don't think Bollywood has any right to make a todo about the illegal DVD's of their releases circulating in the market, when most of its producers and directors are openly ripping off the world's intellectual property. 😡

i can't believe even SLB would indulge in this.. not so creative after all, is he now... 😡

i wish we can have some good entertainment cinema without it being rip off of hollywood and tamil, korean, etc.. movies..

Tamil movies also routinely rip off worldwide cinema. Case in point Gajjani.

i know..!! also now wanted is based on tamil movie again and so many others.. 😡 why can't we get original scripts.. what happened to creativity..?!

Oh but Bollywood is very creative.......after all.....it takes a lot of effort and thinking to stick songs shot all over the world in the middle of the ripped off Hollywood movies 😃 😉

Dun dun dah (cue the music). If this brings about more of an appreciation for screenwriters in terms of salaries, then I think this will be a move in the right direction.
