Which mainstream actress has displayed hte most versatiliy?

So let me clarify a bit.

I want to know which MAINSTREAM leading actress, meaning the actresses who are considered "top actresses" in popular perception. So that's why we wont look at other talented actresses such as Tabu, Konkona, etc.

Also, I wanan know for this decade, so this is post 2000. Kajol, Madz, Juhi and other legends mostly ruled up till the millenium. After that, this new brigade took over.

So which actress has done the most variety of roles in her career thus far? Not necesarilly who's the BEST actress (coz that would go to Rani in my opinion), but the most versatile actress.

I think its tough competition between Rani, Aish, and Kareena. But I choose Kareena (puting my bias aside). If you look at her career, she's done quite a variety of characters, genres, and has not been typecast in any one role (except she did get stuck in the poo roles for about two years after K3G).

I'll use pics to showcase what I mean.

Kareena has the ability to emote through her eyes. At the same time, she has veyr powerful dialogue delivery. And her greatest strength, is wtihout a doubt, her versatility

Her resume of roles include:
Refugee

Asoka

K3G (full on glam and memorable character, lol)

Chemeli

Yuva (sweet n simple)

Dev (very hard hitting)

Aitraaz (excellent dialogue delivery as lawyer)

Omkara

JWM

Tashan (ultra glam once agian)

So yeah, pictures are worth a thousand words, so that's my point,lol

got to be kareena and rani...though when it cumes to versatilty bebo has actually proved that she can play any kinda role really well..unfortunately in rani's case hot n sexy characters like bebo's in tashan didnt come much..but she also has done many different roles..n shez an all time natural..i ve said it before n will say again ..that when eva rani acts ..u can neva tell that shez acting..shez soo natural...

Uhmm, Preity, Rani, Priyanka! all seem like good candiates/

Priyanka stands out alot, from Fashion, Dostana, Hero (the one with preity/sunny), Karam

I mean theres alot on her list and there very different from eachother.

But we cant forget Aishwariya! I believe she's shown the most versatailty! now i kinda wish i voted for her.

I mean you can hate or love her. But she is definitly every where on the acting map

I think Preity is the most versatile mainstream actress. She's done a variety of roles - ranging from the bubbly teenage mother to the sophisticated prostitute, from the antagonistic schizophrenic to the independent woman. Not only that, she has carried off the glam roles (DCH// Salaam Namaste// KANK) generally better then her contemporaries. Kareena and Ash were in strong contention but since Kareena nearly always hams up the glamourous roles (K3G, Tashan, MPKDH etc) and Aishwarya's done some varying roles that aren't portrayed very well (D2), Preity has to be the most versatile actress as she does a vareity of roles and carries them off very well - which is the very definition of versatility.

I acutually think that all this actress are very verastile. But I feel Priyanka Chopra has done quite good roles in the past such as aitraaz and proved herself that she too can be a top actress. Her recent movie Fashion was good and showed her hard work
