Saath Phere to change story track and leap by 20 years to accommodate Rajshree Thakur's vacation

The lead actress of Saat Phere, Rajshree Thakur has the soap's production house wound around her little finger. When she was denied a vacation, she threatened to leave the show. Later, when her vacation was approved, the script had to be turned around to explain her absence.

Our source said, "Rajshree has been demanding a vacation for a long time. Months of pleading didn't yield anything, so she threatened to leave the show. The producers couldn't let her quit as the lead actor Shard Kelkar is on the verge of bidding farewell. So they allowed Rajshree to take an entire month off in May. This situation put the producers in a spot. They had to consider Rajshree's demand and still continue the show."

As a compromise, the frazzled production house twisted the script, "In order to justify her absence, her character Saloni, will be sent to jail and the soap will also take a twenty year leap. Her two daughters will grow up and take centre stage. The director has already started searching for new faces to fit the bill of the two actors who will play the pivotal roles after the leap."

Explaining her stand Rajshree said, "I have been waiting for a break desperately. I have been working continuously since Saat Phere's first episode. That is almost four years, except ten days I took for my wedding two years ago. Now, the length of my holiday will depend on the altered storyline."

WHOAA!!! One month with no Saloni???!!! Hopefully Saloni will comeback to take revenge... I always thought the storyline would go this way!!

Thanks for the article. Who can blame Saloni? If producers stopped overworking their actors and exercised punctuality with the shooting schedules, actors wouldn't have to threaten to leave the soaps. Plus it would help if they got some time off as well each year. Maybe they ought to consider having a few episodes available in their banks to accommodate actor vacations.

I don't beleive this why leap 20 years. The first leap was 11 years so if the leap for 20 years Savri will be like in her 30s. That will make Saloni really old. I don't like this I hope this 20 years leap is not true.

Thaks but i don't think this article is valid. First 20yr leap will make kids more than 30yr old that not making sense also Sharad said he isn't leaving Saat Phere.

As they lock up Saloni - SP should be locked away and the key should be thrown far, far awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I have now come to the conclusion SP is dead - Zee should just bury it away ......

what nonsense yaar. Sawri will be an amma in her thirties . We wanna see another young beauty like Rajshree , dusky and lovely and one more prince charming. Do these scriptwallahs have any sense of calculation or what .
