Ekta Kapoor bailed Karan Kundra out when the police caught him for drunk driving on Saturday night

On Saturday night, Karan Kundra, lead actor of Balaji Telefilms' Kitni Mohabbat Hai, ran into a spot of bother at Oshiwara, Andheri when the traffic police pulled him up for drunk driving.

A source from the TV industry said, "Karan was asked to come to court on Monday morning. Instead of letting Karan handle his own problem, Ekta Kapoor decided to help him out."

"Since Karan doesn't have too many friends and relatives in Mumbai, Ekta did the rescue act by paying the penalty amount in the court," added our source.

Karan denied the news and said, "It was a routine check-up, which often happens at Oshiwara. I didn't have to go to any court."

However, Ekta had a different story to tell. She said, "Yes, Karan was caught for drunk driving and we freed him. We paid the amount in the court."
