Its still very early in the year, but I have a gut feeling that this years best actor award will be swapped up by Ronit for his awesome and heartfelt performance as Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi!
I don't watch many other shows, but can't think of any other lead actors putting in such a pitch perfect performance in such a demanding role!
Bandini might sound like a woman oriented show and Aasiya does have a very strong role, but lets face it, the heart and soul of Bandini lies with Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi aka RR! His character is not the typical alpha male sort of guy who is good-looking, rich, arrogant guy who has a heart of gold. Neither is it an anti-hero type of character who is evil in the beginning but gets changed by love.
DM's character is a much more complex and intricate one...he is a middle-aged man who is a widower and a father to five children, has married a girl who is younger than his own kids, runs a family, a business and a village...can be completley ruthless and cunning when it comes to his work, yet has an extremely sensitive and soft nature when it comes to his loved ones...is prone to temper and impulsiveness yet is never unfair or injust....listens to everyone, but always does what his heart tells him!
And Ronit manages to pull all these interesting and diverse aspects of DM so beautifully and so flawlessly...he makes DM so perfect yet so humane...not a feat that can be achieved with ease!
Do you guys think that Ronit will win all the award this year for Bandini and are there other actors who can give him a tough competition in this category?
Would love to read your views!
