As we are aware Shweta was adopted as a baby - parents unknown, Traditionally the theory was ignorance is bliss for children who are adopted. It was never thought to be wise to inform a child he/she is adopted. But in Shweta's case she had no Mother who gave her up for adoption no need to preserve the familial link. So, the question is did any-one tell Shweta she's adopted?
In Sawri case - her mother has died and the Singh family accepted her as their own. Letting her know who her mother was ensured that Savitri's memory or link to her daughter is not lost. It's the correct or right thing to do - Afterall she was the girl's mother. So, she is aware of the supposed truth.
In yesterday's episode the disagreement between the girls has now move from she's my mother to who does she love more? In fact it was also clear Aditiya was never told the truth.

Yes , funny how none of the children r ' normal ' , if u know wat i mean . Sawri , the real daughter is raised like servant , Shweta is adopted , Pia's daughter conceived in rape , Advitya with Jiji as surrogate mother , Ishaan has no mother left , Nikita with a prostitute as a mom...........only Kamini is normal kid , living with real parents , getting her real parents unbounded love rightfully . The fact that she is thoroughly spoilt is another issue .
Saloni does stand by Sawri but she has done two very wrong things....letting Sawri dress like a villager while Shweta dressed keeping up with times and letting the two girls be named according to th color of skin..........Sawri and Shwta which literally means dark and fair . Knowing what she faced in color discrimination , how could Saloni even allow this ? She shud have nipped this at the outset , but she didnt . Results r there for all to see .

You're right none of those children existence or birth were normal except for Kamini.

Savitri named her daughter Sawri. Tara was given the honor of naming Shweta… Can we hold Saloni responsible for letting Sawri keep a name that was given to her by her biological mother? Is it right to change or to take away the tie to her biological mother? However, I do agree that its color discrimination and maybe you're right that Saloni should have change the name. The dressing of the children I would have to agree that as the Mother she does bear that responsibility

Yes Judy i do think Saloni is to be blamed . She faced something terrible........color discrimination , which is as bad as racial discrimination..........liking a person on the basis of his skin color . Tara was given the honor of naming the child , but the child's parents agreed to it , right ? There r hundreds of names , why only this one ? She is fair like a lily , ohhh so sweet , lets call her Shweta.........at this juncture , the mother , who has faced color discrimination herself shud intervene and say firmly , anything u select Bhabhisa , but not something that denotes color as I faced color discrimination and I wudnt want my child to be recognised that way . What is so wrong or rude about this stand ? Tara wud still retain the honor , she cud call the girl Namrata , Sushila , Namita , anything except a name that bluntly denotes color . Why were names not given based on quality ? Namrata means humility ..........Sushila means Chastity ............there r thousands of such names . Just look at Saloni and Shuhra's names...........Shubhra means white , Saloni means Sawri Saloni ..........dusky . When the color discrimination for Saloni started at the cradle level itself with the naming ceremonies , why did she allow history to repeat itself ?
Agreed Savitri gave her dark child the rustic name Sawri .........but when Saloni adopted her she cud have firmly changed the name saying ' AAj se hum tumhe yeh naam se bulayenge .' It is names like these that give children ideas and lead to color discrimination in an innocent kind of way in the beginning but it gradually turns ugly . Saloni as a lead heroine shud have taken a stand . The diffrence in clothes thing is absolutely unpardonable.
I have personally nothing against the name Shweta and I have many friends by that name. I am only talking about how this name weighs meaningfully in this particular serial that showed color discrimination as an issue .............so please , forum members who have the name Shweta , dont get upset with me .😊 I trust u will understand what Im trying to say .

I absolutely with you Koolsadhu, Saloni is the reason Sawri and Sweta are like that she should not allow the name kept by skin tone also how can she make Sawri were different clothing than Sweta then expect UNITY from them this mistake of Saloni is really unpardonable.did u notice Sawri's bedroom is so simple N Sweta's room pure pinky filled with girly stuff why? the injustice to Sawri Also if Sweta can have playstation why not Sawri if she consider both of them as her daughters then why is the partiality in raising them?

Yes she had the opportunity to make a difference and she did not use it...You are correct she more than anyone would have recognize the obvious discrimination in the name.

Saloni the character is in her scriptwriter's hands and they simply fail to use occasions in the serial to show her rising to the occasion and tackling the issue of color discrimination effectively. See , what i feel is this....u guys showed us Saloni's passive suffering in the first half na.....now show that she really knows exactly wat color discrimination is since she is a seasoned victim herself and so knows exactly how to tackle it and prevent it.😊

It's very interesting reading this discussion on color discriminination. This is a worldwide issue, and you guys are right, the creatives failled to stop propagating it in the show. But I guess that's the point, to make the story more interesting, keep people like us discussion the wrongs of society.
