Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar!!

I was watching K3G yesterday and I noticed that Karan JOhar and Ekta Kapoor are like twins....Karan is the melo drama king if Bollywood while Ekta is the melodrama queen of Indian TV! Here are the similarities-

-Super melo dramatic
-They both make movies/serials which are complete time pass. You have to leave your brain out and keep your heart in...you go with the flow you love it...you question things you will hate it!!
-Everyone is crying all the time...be it Shahrukh in KKHH or Anurag in KZK
-Both make movies/serial starting with K
-Both love designer clothes
-Both have lavish sets
-Both have illogical stuff in their storyline
(be it Sharukh running in the streets of NY in KHNH while he is suffering from heart disease or Tanya being pregnant for over a year in Kyunki).. Due to length of these serials, Ekta has the opporunity to make them super illogical!!
-Both like to have special appearances in their movies/serials.
-Ekta loves to copy Karan...be it the laal dupatta thing in KZK (lifted from KKHH) or the summer camp thing in KZK(again KKHH) or the biological vs adopted issue in KZK and Kyunki (K3G and Kal Ho Na Ho) or having extremely cute and over smart kids...I am sure there is more!!
- Both have loyal stars. Karan has Shahrukh, Rani, Preity, Kajol. While Ekta has her own like Hiten, Cezanne, Natasha. They are also very possessive about their actors in their own ways. Karan will die before not having Shahrukh not even for a minute in his movies while Ekta will kill the disloyal stars (Rajeev Kahndelwal for example).
- They are both unmarried still
- Can you come up with more??

And guess who started the way shock is shown in Ekta serials!! Karan Johar!! In K3G Hrithik does not know that Shahrukh is not his biological brother (now isn't that some Ekta serial!!) . But he overhears his grandmothers talking about it (what did I tell you !!). Then the camera moves from the grandmas to Hrithik's shocked face and the "shock" music follows. (ahaa!).

Watch Kal Ho Na ho. Preity and Saif has no idea that Shahrukh has heart disease. But when Sonali and her husband tells them about it, they are shocked and then follows music, tears and lots more tears!!!

Go figure!

So now you know why we watch Ekta serials!!! Now you also know why Karan Johar's movies have repeat values and are loved by all grandmothers to kids and everyone!! Now you know why Ekta follows Karan!!

well, i think that they are kind of similar, but at least karan johar makes pretty decent movies! 😛

I think this is da reason Karan johar said a lot of nice things about ekta in his chat show koffee with karan.....
