First of all i didn't knew this forum existed on IF😕😆 **Feeling DUMB**
so i am new here so welcome me LOL hehe😛😆

i've been watching Asian Drams/Movies/Anime since 4-5 years😳
A Koren friend of mine introduced me to Asian Entertainment, & i still THANK her😳

anywayz i have quz for you guys...Do you have a certain drama Preference?
like is it Korean,Taiwanese, Japanese or even Mainland/ Hong Kong??

& what is the reason that you like 'em more?😛

well for me it depend on my mood😆..but mainly it has to be Japanese😳
when i feel silly i'll watch Taiwanz drama to get a good laugh...
& i'll watch Korean Dramas when i feel Dramatic LOL😆

why i like J-Dramas more?
because i feel that they have more depth in their characters
& i LOVE how they built up their characters and the story 😃

hey there,

I like yourself didnt now this forum excited until i stumbled upon it few months back... nyhow welcome to the forum, am San =). Ive been watching Asian entertainment since Oct/Nov 2007

Main preferance Korean entertainment, purely because I find the language easy to digest.

Taiwanese Dramas/movies occasional, unless i stuble upon something interesting.

To date havnt really watched anything Japanese, HK, or Mainland...

for me.. i'd say korean. i think i'm just really comfortable with the language? i dont know why haha..
taiwanese dramas are too silly for me and most jdoramas arent romantic enough for me (though i do love them.. just not as much as kdramas XD)

OMG, ... I didnt realise I made so many typos in my previous post, yup I agree with Taheera. K-dramas are more romantican (Y) lol, im a sucker for romantic dramas.

Personally, I think watching Korean dramas more, and I think one of the main reason's is because like Taheera said, just more comfortable with the language. I have become very used to a lot of the phrases, so I find it really enjoyable when I watch it. And I really like drama, and Korean shows have a lot of drama. The storylines are not the most original, but still the action with it be comic or romantic is very good . But I started watched korean shows a year ago, on and off. Its fun especially with the comic ones.😆

I also likeJapanese dramas, mainly because they are really funny, super short, and if you have listened to a lot jap music, the language is not hard to grasp, well again atleast phrases. I haven't watched any taiwanese or mainland chinese dramas.

I'm with everyone else here Ruwani I'm into Korean drama's/music more because I was introduced to it first, the language is easier to digest/listen to and I'm such a sucker for romantic/comic type shows..

But I also love and adore Japanese dramas but like someone before me stated they aren't as romantic which semi-kills it sometimes e.g I wish their was more romantic moments between Maki - Yamapi in Kurosagi or Maki - Shun in Hana Kimi.. But the best thing about Japanese dramas is that most of them are short compared to K-dramas and T-dramas.. and Taiwanese dramas I have to like the actors before I start watching which is why my favorites are very limited..

hey there, welcome to the forum! hope u enjoy discussing...

as for your question....really depends on the mood~ each one has something different to offer

Korean
- very dramatic, more romantic...sometimes character development is there and sometimes the plot can be amazing...but more so, i watch for the romance aspect...
ie. coffee prince, boys over flowers, goong, my girl, full house etc...

Japanese
- story, story, story...if u want to watch something with depth and deep emotions, great character dev. or just plain mind boggling then Japanese dramas are it....i watch them if im in the mood for something different, original and refreshing..not mention they're short!
ie. 1 litre of tears (all time fav), bambino, kurosagi, vampire host, LIFE

Tawianese
- silly, funny...comedy....very lighthearted...If im in the mood to watch some fun-loving nonsense, female leads behaving oddly or just awkward comedic moments then i'll go for these....i haven't found a "deep" taiwanese drama..ever and i've seen alot lol...
ie. fated to you love, hana kimi, devil beside you, iswak etc..

Thai (i know it wasn't an option but i thought I would mention it)
- very heavy on the romance....not deep at all, nothing too dramatic and can be silly at times....always always has a romance angle which is very heavy on physical closeness and jealousy..hence i've im in an extremely mushy mood with some nonsense jealous throwin in...i'll go for thai lakorns (dramas)...
ie. defendant of love, jai rao, sawan biang, botai gleep sudtai

^ threw in a couple of examples incase people were interested =)

Heyy!

As i said in ur shop love all ur Siggis.. well im leaning towards the korean too as i find the language easier.. i watched Zattai Kareshi (Abs Boyfriend) and thought it was really good..ending made me cry BUCKETS! 😆

I think i prefer the dramatic scenes in Kdramas then i do anything taiwanese or Japanese.. But i do like Jpop! 😃

Well I mosltly watch Kdramas the most... like everyone else said - it's more dramatic, romantic, great concept and brilliant OST (Not that TW/Japanese dramas don't have)

Secondly, I like Tawainese dramas because I find them quite cheesy in a hilarious way, it makes me smile

And I don't watch much of Japanese dramas... yet (recommending would be nice)
