This month seems to have been a refreshing one for television viewers. With all the saas bahu sagas wrapping up, the small screen now promises to entertain its viewers with new and exciting concepts. The most recent serial on Star to bid adieu to its viewers was Kayamath on March 12. Now, it's Kasturi's that's headed for the exit door on March 31.
Shubhangi, the lead actress of Kasturi, says, "It was a very emotional day when we shot for the last episode. I toh just couldn't stop my tears. We all got very emotional but at the same time, we all had loads of fun. We shot for 24 hours on the last day and packed up at 7 in the morning. I threw a dinner party for the entire team and we all had a blast."
Shubhangi feels that the show could have come to a better conclusion. She says, "Kasturi started off really well and garnered immense love from the viewers but in the last one month, it has faced unwarranted problems such as its time slot and certain other things."
The actress also talks about the sometimes unrealistic plots of Kasturi, saying, "The number of marriages that happen on the show should have been reduced. I myself got married six times onscreen. All this shouldn't happen. A proper and important message is a must. Although, I do agree that this is what viewers want and that is why it is shown, I think it's high time that this trend changes."
There are many things that the actress will miss about the show. She says, "I'll miss Kasturi as it was my first show and my first accomplishment. First achievements always remain special and memorable. I'll miss the character, the shoots and everything about Kasturi."
Shubhangi was very close to some of her costars and vows to keep in touch with them. "I was very close to my onscreen mom and dad, Rajyashree who played Mona Maasi and Bharat. We are all in touch and will stay in touch forever. My onscreen mom and dad are like my real parents, they've taught me a lot in terms of acting and I respect and admire them a lot," says the actress.
Shubhangi shot for the last Kasturi episode on March 16 and it will be telecast on March 31. As of now, the multitalented actress is looking after her family and spending quality time with her three-year-old daughter Ashi.
