Dear Friends,
All this while motiben has been a tough foul mouthed lady but today we got to see the softer side of the lady. I do not know the name of the actor playing motiben but felt when she came to Santo, we saw how hurt and upset she was. She played the role in a subtle manner, no loud mouthing no hair tearing.....sad and soft....I loved it.....👏👏👏

Yes Rasika maam was too good in the scene ..

For a moment, I was expecting her to be all violent on Santo because
of what she had indirectly caused .. but it came as QUITE a revelation!

I was going to make a topic on this also. I am glad you started it.
Motiben is the head of the family as she takes care of the household and the children. Maybe she felt betrayed by DM that she let go of her own happiness to fulfill her duties as an older sister and Bua and after all that Dm did not feel important to consult her before geeting married again. That can be also underlying issue for her anger towards santu. She may even feel insecure that her brother and kids may not need her anymore after his remarriage. She has her issues besides her beliefs in lower cast and age gap.
I did feel sorry that she did sacrifice a lot for her family and she has to see her newphew being judged by his father. Santu is indirectly involved in that issue that makes it harder for Motiben to accept her.

Yes .. I think yesterday's episode made
it clear why she actually despised Santo ..

First of all, it was very clear right from the beginning that Moti ben had a LOT
of things going against the lower caste .. Santo is firstly, from the lower caste
and secondly, in all the situations that she has tried to prop Santo against DM,
it has always backfired ..

Like when she found the earring at Santo's place and accused her of theft ..
or when Santo entered the house to clean the glass ..
or when Santo asked for ghee in the diya ..

Keeping her in the store-room is a symbolic way of showing
her insecurities .. she thinks if she keeps Santo outta the house,
she will fail to make any impact on the hearts and lives of the people living inside ..

^^ good analysis, Sukhi..
yeah, you are so right.. it also shows her insecurities as well.. i think she does fear that if Santo is in the house, others might accept her.. and specially the fact she is from the lower caste makes her dislike Santo even more.. i think..

I think the character of Motiben shows UTMOST reality, the one thing about humans that is their simple truth, is that each and everyone of them is insecure...

It rules our life and shapes us, some of us do well in that insecurity (ironic, I know), whereas some of us succumb to its power and inevitibly leads to failure..

But Motiben has not hidden her insecurities, she shows it time and time again, as well as what her insecurity has shaped her as. With the other characters, it does not come as strong. Pinakins silence/tranquility shows his insecurities, Baa's cold nature to Santu, Hitens hatred for his pop, and Mahyavanshi's portrait is HIS insecurity. The fact a guy cannot internalise the fact his wife has died, he is keeping her behind forcefully...that is troublesome.

Khair, trouble nai hoga to drama kaisay ho ga

Very nice analysis Mrs M. You see when Motiben was introduced, I wanted her to be a different sil from the ones normally portrait. I wanted her to be the main protagonist who makes life easy for Santo in the household because as it is Santo will have a tough time with the children and her husband. Lekin like typical soap or maybe in reality too it is rare that sil accept brother's wife with open arms, she turned out to be the way she is. I am liking the actress, she has great potential, I know Saurabh Bhai is trying to make things easy for Santo inspite of being the father of DM's late wife but I would want to still see a change in Motiben's attitude, I know it happens, in many families, first it is dislike and then acceptance ...I would love to see Motiben helping Santo settle down into their household.....Tin

i think motiben jo kiya apne bhai ....uske bacho ke liye ......vo bohot badi baat he ......1st vo apne DM ki maa bani .....phir uske bacho ki .....maa banaa kitna muskil he .....that is very good abt motiben prob ek ore he ki uska nuature .........ore sochne ka tarika galat he .....choti jaate logo ke liye
motiben santu ko DM ki ek majboori maanti he .......na chate huve bhi DM ko saadi karni padi .......ore motiben apne bhai ko ayse nahi dekh sakti ........koi choti jaat ke logo ke samne ayse jukte huve ......
jab tak vo ye nahi maanti ki santu DM ke liye lucky he .......
ya DM ki life me jo akelapan he .......vo santu ke alava koi durr nahi kar sakta ......
tab tak usko santu ko accept karna bohot muskil he
