We're back with a new discussion of the week! i'm sorry it took this long, i had no inpiration 😳 and it came after i saw Slumdog, which BTW i LOVED. 😃😃

Anyway, this post isnt about me and my new found favorite movie and me is rooting for Slumdog for the Oscars...

Its about HOLLYWOOD VS BOLLYWOOD : The never-ending fight.

One churns out more movues in a year but the other one seems to have more classy films. One has Brangelina and the other has Saifeena.

Sooo, which one do you like more?

What do you think about joint ventures between the two? Like Slumdog or CC2C which was produced by Hollywood?

Which do you think is better in terms of movies, scripts, direction and acting.

And more importantly, can there be a basis for comparison between the two?

Hollywood has class,is more creative n has better trained actors..!!

Bollywood has apun ka style..mny hawt pairs..mny link ups n break ups( m nt sayin tat Hollywood dusnt..bt dis is in our style)..it duz hv scripts 4m dwn south or 4m Hollywood itself..bt it's done in an entire diff manner n in OUR style..!!

So I don thnk v can rilli compare both..

I prefer Hollywood.... I hardly listen to Bollywood songs or watch Bollywood movies anymore....

I prefer Bollywood, i dunno y but wen u watch a bollywood movie its like u can escape into a world of ur own.

I like them both...but the special effects of Holywood r just out of this world..but the story lines and overall appeal of BW is just awesome!

For the Brangelina and Saifeena, None i think brad and Jeniffer Aniston wer better suited as well wer Shaahid and Kareena

I think its gd making India and Bollywood more recognised

Slumdog defiantley, CC2C story line wasnt very good it could have been a whole lot better.

And more importantly, can there be a basis for comparison between the two?
I dont think so slumdog was way better, even thought cc2c was suppose to be a comedy.

Bollywood is a lot better. I think Hollywood lost its magic long time ago. This year the best movies were made outside Hollywood.

I think it depends... Hollywood has everything - horrors, rom coms, action whereas Bollywood is more about romance and has his own tadka! It just depends what mood I'm in...though i think i tend to lean more towards hollywood...just cuz most of my frenz don't speak Hindi, hence don't watch bollywood much.

I think they would work and should be fun!

I think they are about the same in direction and acting, though Hollywood does have the edge in their movies and stories - the creative aspect!

Not really, just cuz they cater to such vastly different environments and nations. The people watching the movies are very different and looking for different things!

Different for a change so interesting

Hollywood has better scripts in the long run. Our male actors are better but they have the better actresses. But some Indian Movies are better than all Hollywood ones combined 😛.

Yes their are different aspects of film-making and actors themselves that can be compared.

I think one aspect of the indian films that should be removed are the song and dance sequences! It's makes it so much difficult for great singers like Rahatji and Sonu Nigamji to get publicity for their independent music. Also
certain heroines in BW are doing well just because they can dance in item numbers and lack in acting. This seems pretty stupid. But otherwise I find BW movies more heartfelt than HW ones. 😃
