First I must compliment BT that today's episode was a 'dhamekedar' one. Well executed and well planned. Preparation of welcoming the son back home and the father trying to hide is true feeling, very well thought out episode. Thank god, nobody called for a party for the occasion, the usual BT style...aajki do baatein...
1: Birwa must have been very small when she lost her mother, so Santo's presence is not affecting her much. She has accepted her as a friend, but whether she will be able to give her the place of her mother that is to be seen or accept her in her mother's place later when she is able to understand the relationship of her father and Santo. The scene was nice except the dhokla on Birwa's plate looked too professionally done😉
2: DM is happy that his son is coming back to the house. He does not want to show it but wants to treat it as a normal occasion, ghar ka beta ghar me wapis a raha hai, so what is the big deal. The scene with mil is very good. Now Hiten, being the eldest and even elder to Santo, he has problem in accepting Santo in his mother's place, very natural and should be that way. He is angry and upset with his father and leaves no chance of showing his displeasure. Only one thing that crosses my mind is Hiten must be in his early 20s. Though it is natural for him not to accept Santo but he must be now knowing under what circumstances his father has got married to Santo. It is unnatural not to know and Dharampur is a small place. Being the eldest he must have seen his father struggling with life after the death of his wife, coping with his loss and trying to bring up the children. Many children at this age have problems with their father trying to rule their life (as they take it that way) while they want to be independent. I did not like the line where accuses DM of not loving his late wife. I mean he could have said that he understands that DM wants to move ahead in life but that does not mean the children will accept Santo, and since Santo is here it is not possible for him to stay in this house....and of course he does not like DM'sintereference in his matters....but I loved to see the pain and hatred on Hiten's face on seeing DM handing over the diya (the diya's size changed all of a sudden though😉)
Jate Jate, I agree with Nanaji, some matters should be left burried. DM and Santo are in a very delicate relationship and Nanaji understands that Manjari cannot be brought back. I am not saying the guilty should not be punished. The guilty should feel guilty and his concisions should punish him, that is if Hiten is guilty at all (in true filmy style it might be also Jagmohon) but elders should overlook and forgive, Life is not only about revenge but also about forgiveness.
Last but not the least, the diya scene. A very nice scene but could have been better executed by not showing the clippings of the marriage. The music and the slokas at the background are self explanatory and we can understand....I feel with the interference of such clippings it hampers the viewers to see the emotions the actors are protraying...the camera should allow the actors to execute and the viewers to savour the scene without any gimmick in between...Your thought friends, love Tin
