Just as a matter of curiosity , which industrial tycoon will think of building a mall in a remote village and with what logic ? People who frequent air conditioned malls need to have a lot of money in their pockets for shopping , what are the impoverished villagers gonna buy from AC malls ? In remote villages generally the village people buy their stuff from bazaars held on a particular day like Tuesday or Wednesday etc.........it is known as the bazaar day , and essentials r sold on the street itself . Everything , from chickens and goats to brass and steel utensils and fresh vegetables etc r sold on the street . Why wud an industrialist spend crores of rupees on a mall in a village which no one wud frequent ? Mall culture and cities go hand in hand , i can understand that mall being built in Rajpipla , but isnt Jhanvi living in a village right now ? Or have i missed sumthing here ?
Also , why would villagers suddenly start training all their daughters in dance ? Yes , it is an art form , but the impoverished villagers have other priorities lined up , right ? All this is fine on a full stomach , but those who lead a hard life farming etc and making two ends meet , would learning dance be even the tenth item on their priority list ? Or have i missed sumthing here too ? Sometimes the videos dont work for me so if i have missed sumthing I apologize in advance . But when i see the Jhanvi track , both these things dont make sense to me . What Betiyaan needs badly is a spirited character , and the only one , Jhanvi , is miles away in sum remote village , doing sumthing bizarre . Why cudnt they show this flicked storyline in Rajpipla itself , at least it wud be more credible ! Why the remote village scenario ?

Madhu I'm sorry I know this is a serious issue but when I read your post it made me laugh. Well as far as the whole mall building thing all I could come up with is maybe the Betiyaan creatives are trying to show how one most move with the changing times seeing that the world is forever evolving and developing. Madhu honestly only the creatives know what they are trying to accomplish so we might as well not hot up our heads over trying to make sense out of what they are doing.

very logical points indeed, however i've given up trying to make sense of this show and the stupid storyline - nothing remotely close to reality and tons of loopholes in the story - i think the creatives think the viewers are dumb and won't pick up on common sense stuff.

g-spice , by all means laugh , as I myself am laughing since the day i saw this story track .Finally i cudnt keep quiet any longer and I just haddd to post it , me being me . Even my son laughed when i said this as I was watching Betiyaan . They lifted an entire storyline from a Hindi fim for this track , atleast show sum plain common sense in setting it in the proper fundamentals ...........city or village ! I mean , even fifth graders in schools will have this much common sense . Even when they copy , they don't wanna take the slightest efforts to scratch their heads and copy it correctly . It is height of laziness and i wonder why they r being paid !

I totally agree with all that has been said here. It would have been more believable if this rich guy was planning on building some sort of a national highway that ran through the village & then have the villagers oppose it while Jhanvi supports the idea - show the guy & Jhanvi work together to convince the villagers that economically, it would be great to have a highway go through the village, while working together have them fall in love...
Also, it would have been more believable if Jhanvi were to have learnt a trade like embroidery of sarees, show that she had that in her blood because Surya traded in bandhni sarees...

True . Even showing that a hospital is being built and the industrialist wants the land for constructing a factory for raw materials ........understandable . Jhanvi trying to help as a manager of the hospital ..........understandable . Who in his right mind wud go to a remote village in India and build a mall there ?Why ? Who is gonna buy a single article from his mall ? Impoverished , uneducated villagers who dont have money to feed their families ? Malls r frequented by college crowds and upper middle classes and the elite . Villagers buy from bazaars or banias . Malls r constructed in cities and towns , not villages ! I think they keep their brains on a shelf and then sit down to write the scripts .

Soooo true... just when you think that the current track is the stupidest yet, another one pops up! I dont even know where to start with this idiotic track... every angle every scene makes no sense.
btw Madhu, I dont think they have any brains to place on shelves... those brains left the building a long time ago!

Yes , but u know , i often wonder how they get paid . They flick storylines , ok , but they dont even do the flicking sensibly . so what is the payment for ? I often come to the conclusion that the producers have indeed a lott of money for squandering . No one pays attention to the scripts , the creative heads , producers , directors .......no one .

The creatives wanted to show that Jhanvi only knows dancing and nothing else..hence the storyline picked up from the movie...theyr r too lazy to scratch their heads and think otherwise😳

the jhanvi storyline is the most tedious & boring, i totally agree a business man with a vision to succeed will never even think of building a mall in such a remote village & never mind dream. this jhanvi came out oif the house to help her sisters, but instead she is just chilling having a much better life then her sister. how stupid could this storyline get, a khotewali giving lectures & the most funny of all the dancing track. which fool hard up living in a remote village under poor condition & just make do with day to day living, would give so much importance to a dance classes is just hideous. if the track was something to do with education it would have made more sense,as we all know its very hard to get any education in small villages. a storyline on school would have made more sense & is it only me who finds this radha lady & totally irritating.
i feel zee needs to come hard on the creatives of this show as they did with other shows. because this show has lost its charm with kajri & jhanvi thrash. plus i cant imagine this buddha surya in suits so i am hoping they replace suryakant,as the precious actors just annoys me so much. i wish they replacw gin somehow
