The show has just begun and its hero can't wait to make his entrance. Karan Wahi is all set to play the man who comes into Chandni's (Mugdha Chapekar) life and romances her on Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari (Colors). But unfortunately, Karan will have to wait for Chandni to grow up on the show before he can even begin shooting.
KARAN tells us that although he doesn't have many details, he will tell us about the character he is going to play. He says, "I will be playing a very high class businessman who is very particular about everything in life. He loves his car and is very finicky about it. He's a very nice and positive character. He's an expert in what ever he does. He's very punctual and disciplined, a hardcore businessman."
Though the name of his character has not been finalised as yet, Karan says that he will most probably be called 'Rajveer'. Elaborating on the twist 'Rajveer' brings to the show, Karan says, "Rajveer is a character who is totally different from the Chawla family. He hates sweets and the Chawlas runs a sweet shop. Adding to this, the way Chandni and Rajveer fall for each other will be very interesting."
Karan says that he can relate to his character due to one similarity they both possess. He says, "There is nothing similar between us except one thing. Just like Rajveer is in love with his car, I too love my cars a lot."
The actor, who has previously starred in Remix, was offered the show in June. "I had just finished with my Bollywood projects when this came to me. The way the story was narrated to me, I don't know exactly, but something clicked," he says.
Having worked with experienced actors Kulbushan Kharbanda and Pankaj Beri earlier, the actor feels great that he has got the opportunity to work with them again. "I've already worked with the both of them earlier and it was a wonderful experience. You always get to learn a lot after working with big people like this and hence I am looking forward to it," he says.
The actor hasn't started shooting and is waiting desperately for his shoot to begin. He says, "I was supposed to start and enter the show in the third week but I haven't started shooting. I will probably start by the 23rd of this month and then in the first week of next month I will make my entry. Par abhi toh nanhi pari hi badi nahi hui hai, uske bade hone ke baad hi toh uske sapno ka rajkumar enter karega," he signs off.
Nanhi Pari airs at 9:30pm from Monday to Thursday on Colors.
