We have these college competitions in the U.S where these school's hindi film dance teams compete and damn, htey're level of performances are equivalent to real bollywood stage perfomrances! Here, I'll post three, you guys be the judge.
Ok, so first place went to UC Berkeley Ishaara
Man these UC Berkeley kids choreographed Marjaani better than the actual directed! Wait around 7 mins for marjaani to start, but I'd recommend watching the full bollywood perfomrance. They came first in Jhoomti Shaam. Story's pretty cute as well, indian guy goes for indian girl through shaadi.com, lmao, but his best friend is a white girl named cian who truly loves him. ANd that girl is their secret weapon! Watch her antics in Dhoom again to understand what i mean!
Second PLace went to UC Irvine Zamaana
Story's lead guy is a movie director looking for his "maya" (Dil to pagal hai), lol!
Great performance!
And this is UCLA Nashaa, though they didnt place here, but in bollywood berkeley they won second. Theirs is also a really cute. Guys get shipwrecked on an island of girls and the captain falls in love with sanjana. I think they didnt place here coz one of ht egirls fell during the performance 😕

I'm split between Irvine and berkeley! Berkeley's was sooooo cute!! LIke totally cute! Especially the part when the guy says, I cant love her, she's my best friend! How innocent! And the Irvine was just FIRE!
UCLA was also hilarious, especially the part when the guy goes, "You can stop time but you cant stop the beat of my heart" lmao!
These kids can definitely give some of our bollywood choreographers a run for their money!

I know some people at UCLA, Irvine and Berkeley....The dance that UC Irvine performed was really cool...I think I liked them last year, too...or was that Standford...Lol, I don't really remember!

You know, I find it amazing these kids find the time to practice with their schedules. I know at my university, people on the dance teams would practice around midnight since that's the only time they had!!!

I knwo same here! I know for Davis, the team toofan had to practice everyday after 9 pm! I mean that's crazyyy! They work very hard, but it definitely shows in their perfmrances.
Standford went wayyyy down! THis year they were just about ok.
Its Berkeley that's been teh most consistant
