The numbers given above seem to suggest that we are going by that people meter rating system by the sounds of it. It's definitely a nice little system... and I'm sure that people like it... but neither the channels nor the production houses use it 😕
As for the NDTV Imagine shows doing not doing good... I suppose it's our word against the channel's. For no particular reason, I tend to go with the word of the channel.
With NDTV imagine, it's something of a small(ish) channel with a not so large reach. On the other hand, Zee TV, Colors and Star Plus tend to have a much larger market share. In fact, Zee's reach is more than double of NDTV Imagine.
Anyways, even if we go by that people mater rating system, then even that paints something of a lopsided picture... KS doing 1.43 on a channel with a massive market share against Kitani Mohobbat Hai getting 0.83 on a tiny channel ... and also, KMH is the 5th ranked show on it's channel, whereas KS is 8th on Zee.
And if that is not enough, the producers are pleased with the revenue that KMH is generating - clearly not the case with KS, as the article stated. And the other show, Bandini... well, that's the show which the producers and channel are even happier with, and so I think there is no need to say much more about that.
Balaji Telefilms definitely is taking cost saving measures in this time of recession... but it seems that not
everyone tellyland is being hit by recession. Some actors and actresses are unaffected, as
THIS ARTICLE states - but on the other hand, the article does say that the rest are affected, and that they are having to move to reality shows 😳
As it was Ekta ji's decision to pull the plug on KS (and not the channel's), I can't imagine her being upset about anything.
God bless.
