The Filmfare Awards are being conducted at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Bollywood's glitterati was shining at the event. And as the night progresses, SBO will bring you the winners as they are announced.
Ashutosh Gowariker and Ronnie Screwvala also walked away with the prize for Best Film for Jodhaa Akbar. On having won both Best Director and Best Film, Ashutosh was all smiles. "I am extremely thrilled. This is wonderful. This is such an honour for me for one of the most difficult movie I have made in my career. Thanks to UTV. Thanks to Haider Ali who wrote this film. You are the real emperor. Thanks to my fans for appreciating my work. Thanks my wife Sunita," said the director.
Ashutosh Gowarikar made a quick dash back to the stage. This time to collect his own award for Best Director for his magnum opus Jodhaa Akbar
Hrithik Roshan won the Best Actor (Male) Award for Jodhaa Akbar. However, all Hrithik fans were left diappointed as the actor failed to show up to the award ceremony. His trophy was collected by the film's director Ashutosh Gowarikar.
Priyanka Chopra won the Best Actor (Female) Award for her moving performance in Fashion.
The actress who hurt herself last week and has been sporting a bandage on her calf made her way slowly tot he stage. "I am limping a little bit tonight as I met with a small accident recently. This award is an honour. Thanks to UTV and Madhur for believing in me. My family and my fans, thanks to all," said the actress as she collected her Filmfare Award.
The second Lifetime Achievement Award of the night went to the very senior and very versatile actor Om Puri.

Bhanu Athaiya is India's first Oscar winner. She won the Oscar in 1982 for Best Costume for Richard Attenborough's Gandhi. On winning the Filmfare she thanked her father, directors and actors who had supported her through the years.
Arjun Rampal for Rock On!!
After having seen years of struggle in Bollywood, it was only natural to see Rampal enjoy his moment on stage as he collected his award of the night. "It feels nice, fantastic. All of us want our hand around this Black lady. I want to say thanks to everyone. Farhan, Abhishek, Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy and the cast and crew who made this happen. And finally all the people who stood by me... my family, friends and fans," said the actor.
Kangana Ranaut for Fashion
On winning her award, the beautiful actress Kangana Ranaut thanked her director and her co-stars of the movie. "Thanks Madhur for giving me this role. Thanks Mugdha, Priyanka and all the cast and crew of the film. Thanks Rangoli, my sister. You mean a lot to me, you are truly my strength."

On winning the award, Singh said he wanted to take the trophy from A R Rahman and so he called him up on the stage to hand it over to him. Suki also made a very different acceptance speech. "I have performed all over the world, I would like to request the jury members that please give me an opportunity to perform at the Filmfare Awards," he said.

On winning the awards, the two hosts of the show kept their speeches short and sweet. Imran thanked his absent uncle Aamir saying, "Thanks to Aamir uncle for always knowing what is good."
Farhan, on the other hand, thanked another uncle - Salim Khan. "After watching Rock On , Salim uncle called me and gave the Filmfare trophy in my hand. Now I know what it means," said Bollywood's latest poster boy.
