AGAIN!!!!!!
I am debating "Are the Americans scared of Taliban. My position in the debate is "Why Americans or anyone should not be scared of Taliban"
You are telling me, I shouldnt debate b'cos I have a position that you seem to disagree with.YOU are debating me as a person. What that leads to you making personal remarks about me, and then me retaliating in personal remarks on you and that gets the MODS involved
We cant have a debate amongst us, since I am debating the topic and you are debating the person here, THAT was the only conclusion I took about you. If you were debating the topic, you would be debating the argument, not telling me to get out of the debate

Personally I might detest their policies, but sorry I dont want to get involved with their stuff. Anyway anyone who has interfered in Afghanistan's business in the past century has not come back alive. Stay Away.
If Human rights were such an issue, Darfur and other aftrican nations would be my concern.
Now having said that yes I want everyone to go after Al-Qaeda. We should learn to seperate them from Taliban, they are OUR problem too. That is a key factor. If you choose to go after Al-Qeada and not Taliban, you send a signal to the Muslim world this is not about your religion.

If you are saying that one should not interfere in others business then I have no problem with that. Things might have been better if people from different countries did not interfere with others.

Nevertheless, there is a problem with Taliban. I dont know if it is a right analogy, but does anyone agree to allow a garbage dump grow in their neighborhood? No!! because the stink spreads.

Moderator's Note:

ATTENTION: sandya_rao7(SR) and chal_phek_mat(CPM)
sandya_rao7 - Your opening position quoting CPM, came out as a personal remark, eventhough (if and only if) you didn't mean it, the comment followed by remarks suggests mere Difference of Opinion but due that remark, offense was taken and rest we know what it lead to. Please avoid and refrain from making personal remarks.
chal_phek_mat - In future please report any offense, we don't encourage members going after what might in most cases, just a misunderstanding or even otherwise. Report offense - We would do our best to amicably resolve the issue while you can carry on discussing/debating avoiding the uncalled for fireworks or inturn making personal comments (not allowed irrespective).
We do understand both your position and yes, it hurts hearing personal remarks/insults, hold true both sides, hope we can avoid that in future. Lets MOVE ONN, if there are any concerns, PM either RTH or me.
Thank you,
All - Do avoid or commenting on any of the personal remarks from page 14 onwards. Thanks!

Read my post again. I never said Sharia is a new concept. I said the fanatically conservative misinterpretation of Sharia and the way it's adapted now a days is fairly recent.

Your Aurangzeb point --- do you see strict implementation of islamic rule in India --- the kind we see in Afganistan and Swat? This should take care of your point below --- whether extermism is logical or not.
Again, extermism is just a logical progression for these folks from where they operate and what they have to deal with to maintain relevancy in their political sphere.

It's not logical for a lot of the folks on whom this extermism is forced down upon. What they have to deal with is their own doing as well. If it was relevant for there sphere, they wouldn't have to kill innocent people and use terror to control them.

Again there you go again, mixing Taliban and Al-Qaeda😆
Nope, you are the one who's hell bent on segregating the support system from the end result. No mixing where I am coming from. Unlike you, I am not the one who's trying to rationalize taliban here.
