It sad that it takes a outsider making a film on India for the government to actually step up and do something. And you're right, the government helping one or two families is better than none. It's in the step in the right direction.

People rather watch actors ride around in their Mercedes than look at the harsh reality. If you aren't forced to look at the not-so beautiful parts of India, how is it gonna get fixed? It's nice to appreciate the beauty of things but you can't ignore the bad stuff either.

i agree....... rich celbs n the goverment should start doing something fr the poor.. and not ingroring the slums

I've never been a Congress supporter but it's nice that they are giving out flats to the young two kids and hopefully they will also work on the slum areas and help out there as well.
It's a start of something great so be positive.

I doubt if they will actually keep their word.
These politicians announce something grand for publicity and then forget all about it. There are so many accounts of something being promised but never delivered. I hate being so pessimistic but that is how things are in India.

slums and brothels are to different thing. I'm hoping that Maharastra Govt does it for all the people living in Slums not just these kids.
