Stop spitting venom on Neha

Before I watched Indian Idol I saw people in this forum posting negative comments about Neha. I had a preconceived notion about her because of that and thought probably she's not that good in singing but when I watched her sing 'dekhle' on result round I was surprised to see her sing so well. In fact, I don't agree with Monalika when she said Neha didn't sing well. Monalika is my favourite but I still don't agree with her. In fact, Neha was the only one who sang very well that day and she has great stage presence too.

I can only request members not to spit venom on somebody just b'coz she's somebody's sister or she dresses up or looks in some peculiar way. She could have very well used her sister's influence to become a singer without going through grilling rounds of Indian Idol...but she still thought to make it on her own and that is quite laudable. I think as responsible viewers we should judge contestants on their singing and performance abilities and not their looks or try to relate them to someone whom we hate. Don't make Neha another Arpitha coz' she's not like Arpitha. I think neha has a very cool attitude which shows very much on the screen. She kept smiling and hugged Monalika and other contestants in spite of Monalika expressing her reservations on her singing abilities. I think Neha deserves a fair deal by the viewers.

I hope people listen to you. I wont call myself a "fan" or anything its just that her voice is so unique & I like her for that...She has a great personality & is very camera friendly...Would I like her as the new Indian Idol? Maybe. Am I happy she has made it into the Top 12? YES!

Hope she does well in the galas.

Agreed… people should not blame Dilpreet's elimination on Neha…

Singing
Performance
Looks
Personality
Nature, disposition

I just listed 5 factors above… and Neha may not be the best singer, but she has 4 out of 5 qualities. That makes her deserving… She WILL improve in singing because she seems very determined and strong… and may go all the way with public support… (the key factor)

I'm saying this even though Dilpreet is my favorite candidate… I really wanted to hear her sing a lot more songs… She sang Akhiyan na maar so well in the first round, and I was looking for her in the next few rounds, and they never showed her !!!!! I am so disappointed with her elimination… I really really hope she makes it in wildcard or something…

In my opinion, the weakest candidate was Yashashree… I don't want to put her down, but other than a "good nature or disposition", I don't see what else she has going for her !!!

Very honestly, even I think that the weakest of all was Yashashree. i didn't expect her to come at all but that's waht we call fate. DIlpreet was one of my favourites too but I definitely don't think Neha should be trageted for whatever happened. I think Neha deserves it on her own.

Is there any protocol as such that we should follow the same thread?

not everyone read all the threads. most pople like me just look at topics that interest me and write on them.

....and that's why people like me like to put across thoughts in a different and interesting way.

lovlina, i was jst reading other threads and i dint come across a post like yours . Very well written and i am glad you wrote about monalika not liking neha's song , which i havent seen anyone write about yet . Neha is one contestant which i felt had everything that an indian idol needs to have . one thing that really appeals to me is her personalityThe way she anwers is also very good .Monalika said she dint like the way neha sang , okay that was her personal opinion and i too dont agree with her . On the other hand she says she wants abha to come because they have become very good friends . Firstly i jst think when questions are being asked to these contestant , they have to be very smart on how to answer them . secondally you shouldnt ruin someone elses chance of coming in because you dont think she sings good (neha) and wish that your friend comes in the finals even though she dint sing that well . Monalika maybe a good singer , but personality wise i will always go for neha .
