| Slumdog's Pinto lands role in Woody Allen film |
LOS ANGELES : Looks like Woody Allen has found himself a new muse.
"Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto is set to co-star with Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins in Allen's next film "Whatever Works", which begins filming in July.
The role is a major coup for Pinto and the 24-year-old model-turned-actress has credited "Slumdog" director Danny Boyle with helping her to catch the eye of Allen, who has made huge stars out of young Hollywood actresses, such as Scarlett Johansson.
Pinto's "Slumdog" co-star Dev Patel too has landed himself a juicy role in M Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender".
According to reports, Patel was chosen to replace Jesse McCartney who was unable to cope with the intensive martial arts training required for the role.
Patel will be starring alongside "Twilight" actor Jackson Rathbone in this film.
