Which is the Best Rahman album so far?

Finally Rahman has done it. The music maestro has won, not just one but two Oscar Awards making India proud. A R Rahman has won the trophy for 'Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score' and 'Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song (Jai Ho)' at the Academy Awards 2009.

While there are no second thoughts on Rahman's musical genius, many are still of the opinion that Slumdog Millionaire wasn't the best of his works. This, in no means, is an attempt to degrade his music magnificence but merely an indication that Rahman has composed tunes that are much more mellifluous, avant-garde and out of the box.

In around two decades, Rahman has composed for more than 100 films in several languages. We ask you, the audiences, on which is the best album by A R Rahman ever? Do you agree its Slumdog Millionaire or do you differ on acclaiming any of his other compositions?

I dont think SM was his best work. His all time best album would in my opinion be "Roja" " kadhalan" or "Minsara Kanavu"

But the fact is , all these songs didnt get the chance to be nominated as the films were shortlisted or sent to the oscars. Only when the flim gets shortlisted or nominated would the music be acknowledged and recognised.

SM made it to the nominations list and hence so did its music and people liked it and he won.
