Is it advisable for actors to work in more than one movie at a time??

ok so do u think Stars should act in more than one movie at a time?

i just thought of this caz y'day i was listening to Ryan Secreates radio show, and ANil kapoor was the guest who was talking from Mumbai. In Anil's introduction, Ryan said all these nice things and then he asked Anil, "Is it true that u have worked in more than 100 movies in ur career?" Ryan seemed very surprised by this caz here in hollywood most actors don't even anywhere close to tht nmber!

most people in bollywood act in more than 1 movie at a time, bt there are few who don't . On top of my head, i would say Amir and Hrithik. They used to but now they stopped. The new addition to the list is Sonam Kapoor. Recently she said in the interview she can only work on one movie at a time.

But do u think it is beneficial to actors in career wise, Amir and Hrithk have been lucky ..they have mainly given hits but for Sonam who just started her career, Saawariya was a flop and now D6 is not getting great reivews , plus i heard she barely had 15 min role in the movie...do u think it is advisable for her to sit around and do one movie at a time when her contempories are working in multiple movies. for example, Deepika..who already had two releases post OSO. even though CCTC didn't do well, her next will release soon.!

on the flip side, if the actor is working on only movie at a time..then they can give 100% to the charecter and prepare in every way for the role. Like Amir did for ghajini and Hrithik did for JA. They can offer something different each time, they don't look same in all their movies which can help them in generating the curiousity.

so these are my views, now tell me urs😛

No, I dont think its wise to do only a movie a year. Now if ur Aamir or Srk, yes you can pull it off, because ur so bankable that the one movie that comes out has a pretty good chance of doing very well. But if ur not at that level yet than its suicidal, because its a game of chance. That one movie goes wrong, then you dont have any other movie that year to redeem your career. And eventually, fi you just go by that one movie per year and it doesn strike gold, then your career is finished.

i agree desigal, i think actors need to do work in more than one movie in the beginning of the career..once they prove themselves ,then they can choose wat ever

in actresses, Kajol does one movie in 3-4 years but she is still in demand ! caz she has proved herself.

Tha'ts what went wrong with Rani's career. She limited herself to Yash Raj's one movie per year, and none of those movies worked at the box office and look what happened. Had she signed other movies, then one of them might've worked and ppl would have overlooked those yash raj disasters.

All these actors be it Aamir or SRK or Kajol or even Mr. Bachchan have done many movies at a time before. Now they can afford to and have that kind of brand value so one movie at a time works for them.

The only one who proclaimed 'one movie at a time' act from the beginning was my favorite Akshaye Khanna and that was more because he wasn't offered many great roles and also he is a boozer and never serious about work. Now see what happened to him.

Many actors make tall claims which is rarely the fact.

After 'Dor' ,Gul Panag said that she acts only in serious kind of cinema. Do you think that's the truth and given a chance she wouldn't do a comedy film with Akshay Kumar or do her Chiffon bit in a Yashraj film?

The tall claims are clear case of Grapes are sour.

i agree... when a actor matures aftr acting in loads of movies, then only they can afford to do one film at a time..

for newcomers one film at a time is a big blunder.. for a newcomer , u shud sign anything and everything that comes in ur way.. not picky or choosy , becoz to b in public memory yu need frequent releases ...

bt if yu r nt serious abt ur career then it is fine , bt if some1 wants to b a big star then definitely start off with any kind of movies yu r offered and then go on being choosy when u r experienced enuf to choose :)

Newcomer should sign anything whatever comes their way..they shouldnt be choosy ....becuz all u need to do is prove urself first then when u are establised as an actor and have proven urelf..then u can be choosy about scripts...look at Asin .her last movie was ghajini and now her 2nd is almost finished and will release in August! where as anushka poor girl is under YRF 3 film contract.... Deepika is way ahead of all the new comers(male/female) her 4th and 5th movie will release this june and diwal's time resp.

look at Aamir now..he is a big star he did so many movies when he was new..then when he proved himself as an actor he conectrates on just one,...i love this way.!

Unless they are a big established star they cannot afford to only bigger stars get away with it because simply like hritik for eg even if he does one film it will be a superb film.

Bollywood as a industry makes a lot more movies compared to hollywood its the biggest industry for movie making so actors are going to do more movies.Also bolllywood actors are limited because to be honest its all insiders...
