right cuz now when i go to school or the store or walk down the street here in the U.S., every white person calls me a slumdog....if he feels so offended (i really doubt his story), why is he rapping in America? Does he know that the majority of rappers are black and basically rap abt their money, love affairs, and drugs ( not always though and i like some rap too😆) ....he's just a filthy hypocrite who needs to get a life!

WTH, a child approached him....and so only "clean" people can approach Amitabh Bachchan?? SM portrayed A.B. as a icon....a GOD....which I highly disagree with....if anything, Bachchan should feel flattered...gosh, 2 cents from Adesh too....let's just see India through rose-covered glasses....let's have the elephant in our room and just ignore it....god forbid directors show anything remotely negative even if it has some truth to it....

umm get used to it. India does have slums and movies will be made just like US has hoods and movies will be made on them. Not everyone is rich in India and same here in US. Get a life.

And not to mention, the hip-hop community refer to each other as DAWG😲😆

As for singling out rap music, only reason it stands out is because it's in your face obvious with the language because other genres of music talk about love affairs, drugs, and MONEY (the American dream)....rags to riches story....actually a true reflection of American society....but of course, people don't wanna accept that and say rap is crap😆😆

No doubt, I feel like he is just crying afoul for the sake of it. And all I can do is laugh at the feigned outrage. But there is good stuff out there, you just have to look for it, cough i.e. not on the radio. Common, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, and Mos Def write some really poetic stuff that is really very moving and also serves as an apt social commentary. But only the commercial crap that is materialistic and often misogynistic get played i.e. Ludacris. Wish Adesh the best; his career does need a comeback unless he plans to continue judging shows in order to make a paycheck! A phrase I learned here seems apt,"Empty vessels are the ones that make the most noise."

So many movies made on larger than life (set) India and so much of glamour , ultra modern dresses , malls blah blah and no one says a word and one movie which shows the slums , and people get angry !!

i was only using that to show how he was a hypocrite with the whole slums thing......personally i love rap and hip-hop...jay-z, t.i., ashanti, beyonce and the like.....but my fav would have to be EMINEM!😛😆

I totally get that you used that to show Adesh's hypocrisy....people are so quick to judge others yet they never look at their own reflection....

I love Eminem too!!! Me also like Tupac as well....Hip-hop is awesome and like a member pointed out, there is meaning behind rap music that's isn't too commercialized....My point is that people readily point fingers at rappers but other genres of music have their dark sides as well, like country music...I'm serious, it does😆
