Mru it is a case of money talks. Now that they are rich Motiben selectively wants to forget the 'rags' era of their lives.
I feel DM let Santo go as he wants nothing to do with her. He does not care one way or another. It had nothing to do with having any respect for Nanaji. If it was the case of respect he would have commented on Motiben treating him like a beggar. (I will stick with this till I see the episode, after watching I may have a different persepective).
And yes I hope this setting a place for the dead wife is a one time thing. It sounds totally ridiculous.

i have just started watching the show and i really like it a lot.. i'm so glad that Ekta has steered away so much from her regular shows, that i used to watch.. so it is a pleasant change..
Taruben was really mean.. she seems to have big problems with the 'choti zaati ke log'.. i felt so bad for Nanaji, the way she treated him like that for no reason, other than he was poor.. 😡
on that note, i have to say that her acting in a villianous role is really amazing.. it really makes my blood boil..
