Salman to compensate those injured due to the Amber Fort collapse
Salman Khan's Veer is in trouble again. The Jaipur court has put a stay order on the shooting going on at Amber Fort because the fort wall collapsed due a stage built by the Veer crew on the 500-year-old canopy. Besides being a historical monument, the collapse injured at least 15 people who had come to watch the shoot.

Besides being a historical monument, the collapse injured at least 15 people who had come to watch the shoot.
Director Anil Sharma says, "It's true that the Jaipur court ordered a stay on our shooting. A portion of the wall fell and injured those who were watching the shoot. The main reason for the stay order is to look into how the Amber Fort trust allowed us to shoot here without any security measures. It is very sad that so many people were injured. They were mainly women."
Immediately after the accident, Salman Khan went to meet the injured fans. Sharma says, "Salman went right after it happened. Some of them are quite critical and we have decided to help them in any way we can. Salman was upset because of the accident."
With the shooting scheduled for Amber Fort not complete as yet, how is Sharma going to work around this stay order ? The director says, "We are going to file for an appeal on Monday to lift the stay order. A major portion to the film has to be shot there. We have to make our deadline to completing everything within 55 days. In the mean time, we are now at City Palace."
Veer stars Liza Lazarus (Miss UK) opposite Salman Khan and will release by mid-2009.
